Consider yourself a fan of Diddy‘s smash-hit TV network ‘Revolt’?
Wait…you’re not?!
Well, consider yourself one of the few yet to enjoy all their diverse programming schedule has to offer viewers, doing so via the channel numbers listed here.
Now, as if the diversity they endorse and exposure they hand to all artists wasn’t enough to push their rising viewing figures, the network has announced the arrival of its very own live music TV show, reportedly shot in the style of MTV‘s ‘Total Request Live.’

As industry titans go, they don’t come much bigger or more respected than Troy Carter. It’s a fact largely attributable to his moulding of superstar Lady GaGa.
Yet, despite steering the singer’s career to dizzying heights over seven years, the 41-year-old was relieved of his managerial duties on the eve of the release of the star’s latest album ‘ARTPOP’ back in November.
At the time, “creative differences” was the stock explanation offered. What’s more, in the period since, both have remained relatively mum on the cause of the rift.
However, that ended (somewhat) this week when a new interview with Carter was published on FastCompany.com.

Lambs found themselves whipped to frenzy Friday when their leader Mariah Carey unveiled news of a “special announcement” due today. Yes, many immediately assumed the diva would be lifting the lid on her newest single (which she revealed last December would debut on Valentine’s Day 2014), while others hoped for a glimpse of album artwork, news of collaborators, etc.
However, they were in for quite the shock when Carey took to Instagram to share what the announcement really was. After sharing a few cryptic messages aboard her Twitter timeline, the ‘Breakdown‘ beauty finally broke her silence moments ago.

Indeed, after 2013’s close saw former foes Lady Gaga and Christina Aguilera joined forces for ‘Do What U Want’, music lovers kick their new year off getting cozy with ‘Can’t Remember To Forget You’ – the dynamo diva duet of Grammy-winning songstresses Shakira & Rihanna.
Launching what we hope is a year of diva double teams, the song inks its name aboard a long list of memorable collabos from the ladies of pop & R&B – collectively putting to rest rumors that women don’t work well together in the industry. And, while the net (and we at TGJ) are still making up our minds on Shakira and Ri’s latest offering, we can’t help but reflect on the ‘best of’ diva duets to see how the Roc Nation duo stack up.

What a difference a weekend makes!
Veritably, Beyonce fans rejoiced when news surfaced on Friday that the diva’s self-titled set would return to Billboard 200’s #1 spot after its tenure was interrupted by Disney’s ‘Frozen’ soundtrack.
But, that celebration was short-lived as reports now indicate Friday’s report was based on a miscalculation. Indeed, the forecast came two days too soon and now a revised projection pits the children’s CD back at the top spot.

We predicted that Janelle Monae would be one to watch in 2013 and boy were we right.
Now, as her social star continues to rise on the heels of her electrifying latest disc ‘Electric Lady’, Monae makes moves for the kids in the form of a guest appearance on Sesame Street.
Joining the likes of R&B’s brightest Destiny’s Child, John Legend, Alicia Keys, Patti Labelle, India.Arie, Erykah Badu and countless others, the ‘Sincerely Jane’ singer shares ‘The Power of Yet’ – an inspirational number of sticktoitiveness.

Since Beyonce‘s Destiny’s Child days, the diva has championed female empowerment.
Indeed, the lyrical foundation of most of King B cuts sees the ‘***Flawless’ singer promote unity among women and denounce patriarchy.
It’s little surprise, then, that the 32-year-old is continuing this motif — this time in essay form.
Yonce was enlisted to pen a piece for Maria Shriver‘s annual Shriver Report.
Needless to say, it makes for an intriguing read. Check it out after the jump…

Her name? Paloma Faith, the British songbird who now eyes global glory with a third studio album set for release later on in the year. On March 3rd, the star will kick off its sales push by making it available to pre-order, but today- as is always the case with the ‘New York’ maestra- she puts the music at the forefront of cause with the release of its first visual!

Insightful.
Perhaps the best to word to describe the trailer for Göran Hugo Olsson’s ‘Concerning Violence’, the footage pulled from the racially charged release will come as a welcome treat for fans of Lauryn Hill today, as it’s her voice that takes its viewers through its deep and at times difficult story.
Set to debut at this month’s Sundance Film Festival, the movie sheds fresh light on the African Liberation movements of the ’60s and ’70s, sure to interest any aware of the movements but perhaps aren’t as clued up as they’d like to be on it.
