Shocking as it may be to believe, Nicole Scherzinger has yet to release a solo album on home soil. Still.

Indeed, as many will recall, 2007’s ‘Her Name Is Nicole’ never arrived, while 2011’s ‘Killer Love’ was a Europe-only effort. With the latter having enjoyed chart success in territories such as the UK and France, it appears a sound foundation has been set for a global roll-out for its follow-up.

The former Pussycat Doll was snapped continuing work on the set, her third, with producer Kareem James. Canadian-bred, but US-based, James has crafted material for the likes of Drake and Alexandra Burke.

Reliable word tells That Grape Juice the flavour of the Scherzinger sessions was Urban-Pop – which, quite literally, sounds like (the right) music to our ears. The über Pop direction of her past efforts always baffled us given her Urban skew. In any case, here’s hoping the 35-year-old is cooking up the material US listeners are willing to embrace this go round.

The Lifetime network is heating up this Summer…thanks to ‘Devious Maids’. 

Created Marc Cherry (the brain behind Desperate Housewives), and executive produced by Eva Longoria, the show follows five Latina maids who work for the rich and famous in Beverly Hills. Each lady has ambitions and dreams of her own, while one of them has a much darker reason for working the circuit.

Having debuted in June, the show’s first season boasts 13 episodes. Check out a preview for episode 7 of the first series below…

As the fourth quarter looms, so too does the return of many a Pop force. Indeed, joining the likes of Lady GaGa and Mariah Carey is Billboard darling Katy Perry.

Presently revving up her promo machine ahead of the unveiling of her new single, the ‘Teenage Dream’ hitmaker covers the UK edition of Elle magazine — looking delightfully diva, if we must say.

So-so performances and unnecessary re-release aside, it’s hard to deny Ms. Perry’s last “era” served up many a gem. After a (relatively) long spell away from the limelight, though, it’ll be interesting to see if she can replicate such success. Do you feel she can?

Ariana Grande is wasting no time pairing her latest single ‘Baby I’ with a video.

The vocal sensation, whose four-octave range is seeing her likened to legend Mariah Carey, was snapped shooting the visual for the brewing hit in Los Angeles over the weekend.

With the Summer in full effect, it appears the 20-year-old is cooking up a clip that encapsulates this. We can’t wait to see it!

Pop tour de force Lady GaGa whipped her legion of Monsters into a frenzy moments ago after revealing the cover for ‘Applause’.

The fiercely anticipated track (due August 19th) is the lead release from the 27-year-old’s fourth studio album, which arrives on November 11th.
