Aged just 16, newcomer Little Nikki is drumming up quite the buzz. And with good reason.

The West Londoner posits a flavoursome mix of Synth-Pop and British Grime, a blend best showcased on her aptly titled intro single ‘Intro Intro’.

A fact which shouldn’t be diluted though is Nikk’s is ability to be “genre chameleon”; possessing the uncanny talent of  dabbling in various sounds, while making them her own. It’s a skill no doubt attributable to her wealth of talent – which also sees her pen her own songs.

Hailed as “Rihanna meets Azaelia Banks”, this young talent (who has toured with Justin Bieber) has many industry folk raving. Does she have you doing the same, though? Check out the clip above and let us know what you think below!

It’s certainly been a long road for crooner Phillip Phillips.  Narrowed down from thousands of contestants, the young singer bested 16-year-old powerhouse vocalist Jessica Sanchez  to be named 2012’s American Idol.  With a record setting 132 million votes between the two of them, it was ultimately the 21-year-old guitarist that took the prize.

While we look forward to music from both of the blossoming vocalists, we at That Grape Juice extend our congratulations to Mr. Phillips for being crowned this year’s American Idol!

As earlier announced, fans of Jennifer Lopez learned the triple threat diva was set to debut ‘Goin In‘, her latest single, via the American Idol finale tonight.  Released in support of the forthcoming movie ‘Step Up Revolution’, which hits theaters July 27th, the song follows Lopez’s own ‘Dance Again’ in using ‘Idol’ as its launching pad.

We ain’t mad at her…

As ‘Dance’ has worked its way to the Billboard Top 20, the singer is also readying a reality show with boyfriend Casper Smart (who has been promoted to head choreographer of her forthcoming tour).  Needless to say, Miss Lopez is working!  But does ‘Goin In’ live up to its billing?  Find out after the jump:

With hopes of showing young talented hopefuls everything they should not aspire to be as performers, American Idol executives tapped ‘Where Have You Been’ bleater Rihanna to lend a live rendition of her most recent hit.

Joining a bill that also featured Jennifer Lopez, Jason Derulo, Fantasia and more, the Barbadian beauty brought ‘Been’ to its largest stage yet much to fan delight.

Third place finalist Joshua Ledet may have seen his dream of being the next American Idol dashed after he was unceremoniously voted off last week.  However, the young performer’s dream of sharing the stage with his own idol –  ‘Truth Is’ singer Fantasia – became a reality on tonight’s finale.

Branded the ‘male Fantasia’, Ledet lead a fiery duet with Fantasia which saw the two soul sisters soar before the anxious Idol audience.  Get into their gospel-tinged showing after the jump:

‘Feedback’ beauty Janet Jackson has earned nothing but positive feedback for her July 2012 cover of ‘Prevention’ magazine.  Lending that signature, megawatt smile, the youngest-of-the-Jackson clan is still very much active on behalf of weight loss giants Nutrisystem.

Indeed, the same ‘success’ system that’s slimming the ‘Nasty’ hitmaker back into her washboard abs will see the singer front many campaigns in the coming months.  We can only wish that one of those campaigns would be musical…very…very soon.
