Janet Jackson took a break from rocking the stages of Resorts World Theatre aboard her critically acclaimed Las Vegas residency to give American TV viewers a reminder of why they need to be rushing to Sin City to see her live.

On hand at the 2025 American Music Awards (also held in Vegas), Jackson was crowned this year’s recipient of the AMAs ICON Award for her “undeniable cultural and global influence over the music industry.”

Before accepting the trophy (the 12th AMA win of her career), Janet blazed the stage with a medley of some of her greatest hits including ‘Someone to Call My Lover,’ ‘All For You,’ and more. The showing marked her first award show performance in 7 years.

Fresh from her BRIT Award win, the star showcased her live gravitas with stunning performances of her latest single ‘FUFN,’ and top 10 hit Angel of My Dreams.’

The 32-year-old also thrilled with a medley of Little Mix hits, including ‘Shout Out to My Ex,’ ‘Sweet Melody,’ and ‘Touch.’

Jade’s showing comes ahead of the September 12 release of her debut album ‘That’s Showbiz Baby!’ and its like-titled tour.

Nearly 5 years separate music lovers from Trey Songz‘ last album, 2020’s ‘Back Home,’ but the wait for the LP’s follow-up is seemingly coming to a close.

Having already dropped a string of standalone singles over the last two months including ‘Can’t Stay Mad,’ ‘Gimme a Chance,’ ‘Lonely,’ and more), Trigga is firing out another banger – this time in the form of the retro-inspired ‘Say the Word.’
