Despite having his issues with R&B bad boy Chris Brown in the past, Hip Hop hitmaker The Dream was onboard for a collaboration between Brown and former girlfriend Rihanna when she made the suggestion, he says.  For, while both Brown and Riri have seen the past year or so brand them certifiable hitmakers, the rising backlash for their raunchy reunion ‘Birthday Cake’ has seen many-a-critic (including fellow musicians) lend their opinion against them joining forces.

For an act who so clearly lacks an X-Factor of her own, Cheryl Cole‘s career has ironically been hinged on the brand for the last few years.

Having risen to prominence as a solo force on the British incarnation of the show, the former Girls Aloud singer was poised for global stardom after being “promoted” to the  US version of the talent-search.
