Though currently blazing North American stages as a special guest on Mary J. Blige‘s critically acclaimed ‘For My Fans Tour,’ the R&B crooner (born Shaffer Smith) is also reportedly putting the finishing touches on his next album – the follow-up to 2022’s ‘Self Explanatory.’

Presumed to be the latest taste of music set to line the tracklist is ‘I Don’t Need That.’

“It be calling me when I think about you naked / it be tempting, hard to shake / but I don’t need that,” he sings about being under the spell of a toxic woman.

Though many were bummed Cynthia Erivo didn’t walk away with the Best Actress Academy Award on Sunday night (March 2) for her showing as “Elphaba” in the blockbuster 2024 film ‘Wicked,’ fans can certainly find solace in boasting her soaring performance was easily the best of the night.

JAY-Z’s effort to restore his “impeccable and lifetime-earned character” after last year’s headline-grabbing sexual assault allegations took a shocking turn this week when the rapper-mogul took to Alabama federal court on Monday (March 3) to not only sue the accusatory “Jane Doe” but also her lawyer Tony Buzbee.

Branding the original suit a “depraved attack,” Jay (born Shawn Carter) slammed the attorney-client duo with claims of malicious prosecution, civil conspiracy, abuse of process, and defamation.
