‘Levitating’ singer Dua Lipa saw her name rise to the top of headlines after the World Values Network took out a full-page ad in Saturday’s issue of ‘The New York Times‘ (May 22) to blast the GRAMMY winner for alleged antisemitism.

Via the ad lifted by Rabbi Shmuley Boteach, Lipa – alongside models Bella and Gigi Hadid (sisters of Lipa’s boyfriend Anwar Hadid) – were accused of vilifying the Jewish state as Israel and Gaza have dominated news cycles for nearly 2 weeks with reports of fighting & bombings that have left a reported 240 people dead.

With over 20 years of hits, chart-topping albums, and box office blockbuster tours, P!nk has proven herself a worthy recipient of Billboard’s ICON Award.

On hand to receive the prestigious honor at the show’s 2021 ceremony Sunday (May 23), the songstress (born Alecia Moore) was presented the award by legendary rocker Bon Jovi shortly after she blazed the stage with a medley of hits including ‘So What,’ ‘Blow Me,’ ‘Get the Party Started,’ and more.

The 2020 Billboard charts saw no shortage of Pop hitmakers Dua Lipa, Justin Bieber, and Ariana Grande as the trio of acts respectively dominated the Billboard 200 and Hot 100 with their slew of hits.

Yet despite their individual accomplishments, all three left the 2021 Billboard Music Awards empty-handed.

With just hours to go before the Billboard Music Awards 2021 kick-off, organizers for the ceremony have lifted the lid on the winners list for the untelevised categories.

The Weeknd leads with a whopping seven wins, while the likes of Megan Thee Stallion, Lady Gaga, BTS, and the late Pop Smoke also won big.

Given the nature of how wins are tabulated (see: using chart data), the list also sees embattled Country music star Morgan Wallen take home awards. As a result, a formal statement accompanied the early tally of winners.

30-year-old Ora makes for a striking sight in the Pierre Toussaint lensed shoot, which leads the publication’s special Change Issue.

The feature adds to a packed plate of activity for the songbird, who recently released her EP ‘Bang’ and is currently gearing up to serve as a coach on The Voice Australia.

Lil Nas X made his ‘SNL’ debut Saturday night (May 22), much to the delight of his growing legion of fans.

Hot on the promo trail in support of his self-titled debut album, ‘Montero’ (due in stores this summer), the 22-year-old cranked out the inaugural live television performances of its leading singles ‘Montero (Call Me By Your Name)’ and ‘Sun Goes Down’ on the Anya Taylor-Joy-hosted episode.

While the former rode the poles of controversy straight into record books and Platinum status (as we reported here), the latter – released just May 21 – is building buzz for its emotional, semi-biographical content.
