Defining his gargantuan success of last year as a ‘transformation,’ the ‘Old Town Road’ star (born Montero Hill) dished openly about his bumpy road to success – which included poverty, not being close to his parents (including a mother battling substance addiction), loneliness, hiding his sexuality, and more.

Award season is upon us!

And the latest, and one of the most prestigious, is the BRIT Awards 2022.

Nominations for the UK’s equivalent of the Grammys were announced moments ago and brought major listings for the likes of Adele, Lil Nas, Ed Sheeran, Little Mix, and more.

For many, Barack Obama serves as their forever President. As such, it’s of little surprise that his popularity remains oh so potent five years after leaving The White House.

Pressing on with his practice of anchoring himself in Pop culture, #44 has unveiled his list of Favorite Music of 2021.

Speaking on the eclectic tally, Obama said:

“I’ve always enjoyed listening to a wide variety of music, so it’s no surprise that I listened to a little bit of everything this year. I hope you find a new artist or song to add to your own playlist.”

The blend of bops includes infectious cuts from the likes of Lil Nas X, Dancehall queen Spice, Lizzo, Cardi B, and Jon Batiste – who leads the nominations for the 2022 GRAMMYs.

Lil Nas X has been blazing quite the trail and was rewarded for his efforts at the Variety Hitmakers Brunch.

For, he was bestowed with the Innovator of the Year Award.

Whether it’s living his truth unapologetically, topping charts with infectious bops such as ‘Industry Baby’ and ‘Montero,’  or advocating for the LGBTQ community, the 22-year-old is unquestionably making a major mark.

It’s fitting, then, that Nas was honored for exactly this at the star-studded ceremony.

Chloe Bailey was on-hand to present the award and saluted her peer with an impassioned introduction that left the ever-animated star speechless.

Viewers of the viral visual watched Nas reach his wit’s end over a lover that ultimately had a wife and child.
