With a guest list and list of performers that included such A-list acts as Jennifer Lopez, Martina McBride, and others, it’s no wonder this past weekend’s MDA (Muscular Dystropy Association) annual Labor Day weekend telethon raised a whopping $61.5 million (nearly $3 million more than last year).

Hosted by So You Think You Can Dance judge Nygel Lythgoe, the six-hour live broadcast also featured stirring performances from TGJ faves Celine Dion and Jordin Sparks.

Jennifer Lopez has had quite a year.  In addition to the recent 3X platinum certification of her biggest single ever (‘On the Floor’), the ‘I’m Real’ singer’s rejuvenated career has seen her foray (back) into fashion, film, and TV.  And, with news surfacing months ago about her addition to the iHeartRadio music festival line-up, Jenny from the block let fans in on what they can expect of her performance set as well as news on her upcoming single.

“Michael Jackson left the spirit of dance in Chris Grant” – Frank Gatson

For anyone else, such a billing would generate some discomfort. Yet for 23 year old Chris Grant, it’s not only a title he is humbled by, it’s one he’s keen to both embrace and honour.

A renown dancer and choreographer, the New York native has amassed a wealth of experience in his few years on the scene. Indeed, his choreography credits boast many a Beyonce stage-show, Jennifer Lopez‘s ‘On The Floor’ video, and most notably a spot on Michael Jackson’s ill-fated ‘This Is It’ extravaganza.

With Grant eager to emerge from the shadows as an artist himself, That Grape Juice presents episode 1 of ‘Introducing…Chris Grant’.

Triple threat diva Jennifer Lopez is certainly finding ways to expand that title.  With the singer gracing the judging panel of American Idol, readying two new films, and shooting the video for her latest single ‘Papi’, the singer’s already booked schedule has seen summer give it a new addition – her own fashion line at Kohl’s.

While Kohl’s is the ‘Love Don’t Cost a Thing’ singer’s latest tread into threads, fans know Lopez is no stranger to fashion lines and fragrances.  And, though busy shooting comedy film ‘What To Expect When You’re Expecting’ in Atlanta, fans can see Lopez flex those comedy skills in her latest commercials for Kohl’s after the jump:

Jennifer Lopez may be dragging her feet with her official announcement about returning to the Idol judging panel, but the show’s executive producer, Nigel Lythgoe, confirmed On Air With Ryan Seacrest that in fact, Steven Tyler, Randy Jackson, and Jennifer Lopez will return for the next installment of American Idol.

Check out the details below…

As reported here, triple threat diva Jennifer Lopez served as cover-girl and guest fashion editor of September’s ‘O’ magazine – showing off her new threads collection at Kohl’s.

Now, the ‘Love Don’t Cost a Thing’ singer is taking fans behind the scenes of that same collection.  See J.Lo in action after the jump:

Although rumors have been swirling for months about pop diva Mariah Carey’s involvement on the reality talent competition X Factor USA, the extent of that involvement has yet to be confirmed.  However, producer/media mogul Simon Cowell has been quite vocal of his desire to add Carey to the judging panel.

People reports:

“You can’t say no to Mariah,” says Cowell, 51. “We have to find a role for her. I’m a huge fan of hers – not just as an artist, but as a person, and I love her to death.”

Albeit unknown if the role will be permanent, guest judge, or guest mentor, this is not the first time Cowell has admitted attempting to get Carey on the show (whom he says  “wanted to be involved in the show from day one”).  Given the singer’s reported album due this fall, the show could work as a great outlet to plug it.  And, while the formula yielded alleged diva nemesis Jennifer Lopez mixed results, Nicole Scherzinger and Carey could see otherwise.

But, with the show premiering on September 21st, we’re certain a confirmation of Carey’s involvement (or lack thereof) is forthcoming.  Read the story in its entirety.

Should Mariah Carey be a judge on X-Factor USA?

With a career that has already served hit films, reality tv, music, and fashion, ‘I’m Real’ singer Jennifer Lopez adds to that ever-growing list in the September issue of ‘O’ magazine (where she serves as guest fashion editor).  Showing off threads from her new Kohl’s fashion line, the ageless diva  is said to have chosen the wardrobe and make-up for the models.

I’m Glad’ singer Jennifer Lopez may just have a new reason to smile.  Reports have surfaced today indicating that the triple threat diva  is soon expecting to close a deal with American Idol executives for a return to next season’s judging panel – to the tune of $20 million.  The reported amount is nearly double the singer’s $12 million earned from her first season in the judge’s seat.

Furthermore, the deal is rumored to include clauses allowing the singer time for non-American Idol related ventures.

Your thoughts?

As with all things showbiz, there’s a thin line between the private and public. Just ask Jennifer Lopez.

The 42 year old diva has been tabloid fodder for most of her career; a trend which looks to continue following the announcement that she’s divorcing husband Marc Anthony.

Perhaps in a bid to limit such speculative coverage, the mother of twins sat down with Vanity Fair to discuss the split, her take on love, and plans moving forward.
