GRAMMYs, MTV VMAs, and American Music Awards are among the many trophies already lining the resume of Kelly Clarkson, but now – thanks to her popular daytime talk show – the 39-year-old’s growing her EMMY collection as well.

Among the big winners at the 48th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards on Friday (June 25), Kelly’s talk show joined a list of notable names to take home trophies from the two-hour show hosted by Sheryl Underwood.

After thrilling fans with their February-released EP, ‘Jubilee,’ award-winning Contemporary Worship collective Maverick City Music gave the set an update in honor of Juneteenth.

Courtesy of a 19-track effort titled ‘Jubilee: Juneteenth Edition,’ the project boasts 11 tracks on Side A and eight tracks on Side B and assembles a jaw-dropping list of guest stars including Ciara, Jonathan McReynolds, Israel Houghton, Jekalyn Carr, and more.

The BET Awards is back and set to blaze on Sunday June 27.

As always, all eyes are on who’ll be up for nominations at Black entertainment’s biggest calendar night. A ceremony that’s even more notable this year, given that it marks a return to the live-audience format after a year like no other.

Well, wonder no more. For, the nominees list has been revealed.

After unprecedented success, Megan Thee Stallion and DaBaby lead with seven each.

Drake and Cardi B follow closely with five.

Justice has finally been served in the case of George Floyd.

A jury took just 10 hours to deem former police officer Derek Chauvin guilty of murdering the unarmed Black man during an arrest on May 25 2020.

In a clip seen around the world, Chauvin visibly knelled on Floyd’s neck for more than 9 minutes as onlookers watched in shock – many of whom joined Floyd in articulating that he couldn’t breathe.

With millions worldwide praising the decision, so too are a number of notable celebrities – including Beyonce, Cardi B, and Mariah Carey.

Cicely Tyson, the pioneering Academy, EMMY, and TONY-award winning actress who helped break Hollywood’s color barriers on film and television over her nearly 70-year career, passed away Thursday (January 28) at 96-years-old – just two days after the release of her memoir, ‘Just As I Am.’

The report of her passing from her manager, Larry Thompson, did not include information about the cause of death.

Easily one of Hollywood’s most celebrated actresses during her lifetime, news of the screen Queen’s life transition only saw that celebration amplified as fans, admirers, industry insiders, and fellow entertainers took to social media in droves to remember the icon.

Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve has become a mainstay on American television as the country counts down to the next year and 2020 was no exception.

Broadcast coast to cast, the main part of the celebratory telecast – hosted by Ryan Seacrest, GRAMMY-winning singer-songwriter Ciara, and others (in different locations) – was held in New York’s Time Square and featured performances from the likes of Miley Cyrus, Jennifer Lopez, Megan Thee Stallion, Maluma, Brandy, En Vogue, and more alongside a slew of special appearances from celebrities, politicians, and more.

Just a day after filling out a star-studded lineup of music stars helping Disney usher in the 2020 Christmas season with its ABC ‘Holiday Singalong’ television special (click here to watch), chart-topping Pop stars P!nk and Katy Perry reunited to share billing on yet another performance roster – this time for a good cause.

Joining forces with the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), the divas took their talents to the non-profit’s ‘Change Maker’ virtual fundraiser Tuesday (December 1) to help raise funds in support of the organization’s work to save and improve the lives of the world’s most vulnerable children.

Although guest appearances at the event included Perry’s husband Orlando Bloom, Alyssa Milano, Billie Eilish, FINNEAS, and many more, the night’s standout moments came courtesy of its performers Liam Payne, P!nk, and Perry – who lifted a particularly stirring live rendition of her latest single, ‘Only Love’ (found aboard the 2020 album ‘Smile’).
