Taylor Swift is hot on the promotional trail for her latest album, the re-recorded version of ‘Fearless’ called ‘Fearless (Taylor’s Version).

The megastar stopped by ‘The Late Show With Stephen Colbert,’ where she revealed who her song ‘Hey Stephen’ is about and even dropped some hints as to which of her albums she re-recorded will be released next.

Despite Colbert’s assertion that ‘Hey Stephen’ was about him, Swift revealed it was actually about the master of horror Stephen King.

As for those next album hints, Swift told Colbert to “Shake It Off”. This could be a reference to her #1 hit of the same name. She also went out of her way to mention New York City – a possible reference to her song ‘Welcome To New York.’ All ofthe songs mentioned appeared on her ‘1989’ album.

The full interview and list of hints are just after the jump…

Contemporarily, commercial comebacks don’t come any bigger than Mariah Carey‘s seismic return to chart dominance with ‘The Emancipation of Mimi.’

A legendary body of work that is now celebrating its sweet 16th anniversary.

Prior to its release on April 12 2005, the diva’s career was on uncertain terrain.

The underperformance of 2001’s ‘Glitter’ (which has become a legend in and of itself) effectively KO’d the star’s colossal Virgin Records deal; and then 2002 follow-up ‘Charmbracelet’ (her first release for Island Def Jam) did not deliver commercially either — despite favorable reviews and her omnipresence on the media promo trail.

Fortunately for the songbird, the latter LP – her first to be shepherded by LA Reid – would prove to be the calm before the showstopping storm.

For, following the one-two punch thrown by ‘Emancipation’s preceding singles ‘It’s Like That’ and ‘We Belong Together,’ Carey would go on to light the match on one of the hottest streaks of her iconic career. Unquestionably, the album saw her blaze her way to the top of the Pop cultural landscape once again.

With ‘Mimi,’ the star earned her 16th and 17th #1 hits on the Billboard Hot 100, was certified 6x Platinum in the US (pure sales), and sold over 12 million copies of the album worldwide. For many, the era served as a millennial mirroring of Tina Turner’s’ ‘Private Dancer.’ And arguably such a comeback story and level of success that has yet to be seen since.

In salute of the set’s 16th anniversary, That Grape Juice has tallied our top tracks from ‘The Emancipation Of Mimi.’

For as much success as Bobby Brown has achieved, hardships have unfortunately been a defining aspect of his narrative.

During his marriage to the late great Whitney Houston, the GRAMMY-winning performer embraced a “bad boy” persona that very much played out publicly.

Court visits were a constant and soon drug addiction plagued his and Houston’s image.

In the decade since, drugs especially have led to tragic losses for Brown – who has lived to witness the deaths of Houston, their only daughter Bobbi Kristina, and most recently his son Bobby Brown Jr.

In a new appearance on Red Table Talk with Jada Pinkett Smith, Brown opens up about the tragedies as well as his later addiction to alcohol.

He said:

“[Because of] alcohol, I started losing bodily function. My body started shutting down because I was drinking that much.

My body just was giving out on me. Even with alcohol, I got to the point where I needed it.”

I wasn’t getting drunk anymore. I wasn’t getting a little tipsy anymore. I needed it to wake up. I needed it to stop the shakes, to function on a day-to-day basis. For me, it wasn’t recreational.”

Less than 2 weeks before H.E.R. is set to fight for her first Academy Award, she’s given ‘Fight For You’ another rousing live rendition.

The heart-tugging tune, which is competing in the ‘Best Original Song’ category at the award show’s 93rd annual ceremony (April 25), is set to battle the likes of ‘Hear My Voice’ (from ‘Chicago Seven’), ‘Husavik’ (from ‘European Song Contest’), ‘Io Si’ (from ‘The Life Ahead’), and ‘Speak Now’ (from ‘One Night in Miami’) for the OSCAR gold.

Ahead of the showdown, the GRAMMY winner was spotted on the ‘Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon’ (April 12).  While there, she dished about her dream of EGOT status, her history with the Apollo Theater, and more before launching into a stunning take of ‘Fight’ (originally found aboard the soundtrack of the film ‘Judas & the Black Messiah’).

U got it bad took on new meaning for Usher Monday (April 12) after news surfaced alleging he paid Las Vegas strippers for their services with counterfeit money that featured his face printed on it.

Using the viral hashtag #Ushbucks, Twitter users had a field day ridiculing the GRAMMY winner for the report – which was later dispelled by the club owner and the exotic dancer who caused the hoopla (as we reported here).

Despite her backtracking on the “joke,” some commenters continued to run with the incorrect story – including Danity Kane star Aubrey O’Day who made headlines for her criticism.
