From discussing R. Kelly‘s impact on the music industry to praising Aaliyah, Kelly Rowland, The Weeknd, and others, Tank‘s recent chat with the good folks at Drink Champs podcast was chockfull of headline-grabbing quotes.

Yet, as a longtime supporter of the LGBTQ+ community, the biggest standout segment of the interview may have come when the GRAMMY nominee (born Durrell Babbs) reflected on the backlash he received for agreeing to perform at a Washington D.C. gay pride event in 2017 (as we originally reported here).

Reflecting on how the hometown performance divided his fans and critics then (and continues to do so years later), the veteran singer-songwriter waxed honest with the podcast’s host while reaffirming his stance against homophobia.

Harry Styles is heating up the promotional trail in support of his third studio album, ‘Harry’s House.’

And the Pop force’s latest stop was on homesoil. For, the global force took center stage on BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge.

Backed by a full band, the former One Direction nucleus took vocal flight with #1 smash ‘As It Was,’ as well as ‘Boyfriends,’ ‘Late Night Talking’ (a bop), and a cover of Wet Leg‘s ‘Wet Dream.’

After kicking off the year with the sizzling ‘P.O.V.,’ the singer-actress lifts the lid on ‘Revenge’ – a passionate bop about using sex as a way to get back at a lover.

“When I think about it / Chills take over my body / There’s passion in the violence / That’s why you always start s**t,” she opens on the C-Note-produced song. “Break up to lay up, I know what you like / Act like a man ’cause it get you so high / This joyride give you the high of your life.”

Just weeks after news hit that Nick Cannon would be hanging up his talk show mic, the multi-hyphenate star is returning attention to his first love: music.

In what comes as his first musical body of work since 2020’s ‘The Miseducation of the Negro You Love to Hate,’ ‘Raw & B: The Explicit Tape’ – Cannon’s latest effort (released May 20) – collects a who’s who of R&B and Hip-Hop stars for its 14 tracks (nine of which contain features).

Calling on the likes of Brandy, Rick Ross, Chris Brown, K. Michelle, Jacquees, and more to assist, the project lives up to its title as it contains a number of tunes that leave little to the imagination.  However, it’s also balanced by cuts that speak of Cannon’s personal life – namely as it pertains to personal and professional growth, fatherhood, and more.
