Before Cardi B made a career of making hits on charts and radio, the Rap diva – as evidenced by her time on VH1’s ‘Love & Hip Hop’ – took a more literal approach to cranking out hits (ahem).

‘Cleanin Out My Closet’ hitmaker Eminem is coming clean about a leaked song that featured lyrics praising Chris Brown for his vicious 2009 felony assault of Rihanna.

On the decade-old track, ‘Things Get Worse,’ the GRAMMY-winning emcee said:

“Of course I side with Chris Brown, I’d beat a bitch down too.”

As the tune gained traction post-leak, the rapper’s reps immediately came to his defense by claiming it was not only scrapped and re-recorded but they’re unsure of how anyone got their hands on the original version.

Nevertheless, Em released a formal apology in the form of new song ‘Zeus’ (found aboard the December 18-unveiled deluxe edition of his latest Billboard 200 #1 album, ‘Music to Be Murdered By’).  He doubled down on said apology in an interview with SiriusXM on Monday (January 4) when he said:

“Honest to God, I told Paul [Rosenberg, Eminem’s manager and co-founder of Shady Records] this when it first happened. I was like, ‘First, I didn’t know how somebody got it. Second of all, I have no … zero recollection of even remembering doing that verse,'” Em claims.

That’s not all he said.  Look inside for more:

Jhené Aiko‘s third studio album, ‘Chilombo,’ was arguably the most aggressively promoted R&B project of the year.

With over 10 music videos and multiple live performances on the late night circuit and beyond in its support, the onslaught of promotion not only helped the LP become the best-selling 2020-released effort of the genre last year but also nab 3 GRAMMY nominations (click here to read more).

Fans who thought the campaigning ended with the end of the year were mistaken as evidenced by Aiko’s recently unveiled living room concert.  A stripped down affair featuring minimal instrumental backing, the 32-year-old crooned out ‘Chilombo’ favorites “Triggered (Freestyle),” “Born Tired,” “Summer 2020,” “10K Hours,” and more before venturing into tunes from her debut studio album, ‘Souled Out.’
