It took an influx of holiday music to dim the Hot 100 shine of ‘Blinding Lights’ – The Weeknd‘s colossal ‘After Hours’ hit.

As we reported here, the Max Martin-produced cut was written in Billboard history books two weeks ago for becoming the longest-running top 10 hit in history when it logged 40 weeks in the tally’s topmost dectet.

Although it managed to hang on for yet another rung in the 7 days that followed, the refreshed Hot 100 shows ‘Blinding Lights’ has been booted from the chart region in what would’ve been its 42nd week.  Landing at #11, the drop marks the first time the song’s been outside of the top 10 since it first arrived there in February 2020.

Christmas has come early for fans of Shawn Mendes.

The singer-songwriter – already set to top next week’s Billboard 200 with his latest album ‘Wonder’ – is gifting his supporters a “thank you” via a stirring rendition of yuletide classic ‘The Christmas Song’ with girlfriend Camila Cabello.

Unveiled December 5 (as we reported here), the song is found aboard the deluxe edition of Mendes’ LP.  With its sales proceeds to be donated to Feeding America for needy families just in time for the holidays, the Pop couple are looking to raise awareness for the cause – a bid supported by the tune’s official accompanying clip.

A home video style production, look inside for the candid snaps of the duo ringing in their second Christmas season together.

Surprise! Shawn Mendes has just dropped the deluxe edition of his most recent album, ‘Wonder.’

The album was previously released on December 4 and consisted of 14 tracks.

However, the new deluxe edition is now 24 songs long and features the previously-released cover of ‘The Christmas Song’ with Camila Cabello (as we reported here) along with some additional cuts and remixes.

One such live cut is the Canadian pop star’s cover of ‘Can’t Take My Eyes Off You.’ Other songs that appear on the album include live performances from his ‘Wonder: The Experience’ livestream benefit concert.

Not counting specialty projects, it’s been over 4 years since Gwen Stefani blessed fans with original solo music.

Last blasting to the top of charts with her 2016 studio LP, ‘This is What the Truth Feels Like,’ the 51-year-old’s spent the time since racking up Country hits with fiancé Blake Shelton and annually recharging her 2017-released holiday album, ‘You Make it Feel Like Christmas.’

As we reported here, that all changed Monday (December 7) when Stefani unleashed ‘Let Me Reintroduce Myself’ – a self-proclaimed return to the (sonic) form found aboard her Ska-Pop filled No Doubt and early solo offerings.

Just a day after filling out a star-studded lineup of music stars helping Disney usher in the 2020 Christmas season with its ABC ‘Holiday Singalong’ television special (click here to watch), chart-topping Pop stars P!nk and Katy Perry reunited to share billing on yet another performance roster – this time for a good cause.

Joining forces with the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), the divas took their talents to the non-profit’s ‘Change Maker’ virtual fundraiser Tuesday (December 1) to help raise funds in support of the organization’s work to save and improve the lives of the world’s most vulnerable children.

Although guest appearances at the event included Perry’s husband Orlando Bloom, Alyssa Milano, Billie Eilish, FINNEAS, and many more, the night’s standout moments came courtesy of its performers Liam Payne, P!nk, and Perry – who lifted a particularly stirring live rendition of her latest single, ‘Only Love’ (found aboard the 2020 album ‘Smile’).
