Christofher Pocasangre, an employee of Marriott, is the latest to blame it on baby “it,” in this case, being allegations of assault.

The Beverly Hills hotel worker says he’s the victim of battery and emotional distress after DaBaby delivered a beatdown to him back in 2019.

Now, he’s suing the hit rapper for an undisclosed sum.

Apart from a rocking sets from Alicia Keys and ‘Midnight Sky’ maestra Miley Cyrus (as we reported here), iHeartRadio Music Festival 2020 was mostly a boys fest (among its bigger named acts) – a lineup few complained about once they got a load of jamming performances from the likes of Swae Lee, Bon Jovi, Kane Brown, Migos, Keith Urban, and more (as we reported here).

Among the most anticipated performers to line the bill was Usher – who is hot on the promo trail in support of his latest single, ‘Bad Habits.’

Previously tapped to host the 2020 ‘iHeartRadio Music Awards’ (which was canceled due to the global health crisis), the 8x GRAMMY winner was still able to show off his performance prowess for the platform thanks to a showing at last weekend’s festival.

As reported by the staggering list of nominees, the Television Academy had already set a record with the 2020 EMMY Awards as the ceremony – its 72nd annual – nominated its most Black acts ever with over 34% of the nominations.

It should not come as no surprise then that the actual event, which aired Sunday (September 20), saw the most trophies handed out to Black performers – especially in major categories.

Lupe Fiasco‘s created a Twitter fiasco thanks to weighing in a fan debate.

Taking to Twitter over the weekend, the GRAMMY-winning rapper responded to a commenter who asked who was the better lyricist between Fiasco and Kendrick Lamar.

Chiming in, the ‘Kick, Push’ performer pushed for himself before quickly deleting the tweet – kicking off a fiery clapback from Lamar fans on his behalf.

Chris Brown and Young Thug nabbed an unexpected sleeper hit out of their duet, ‘Go Crazy’ (found aboard their joint mixtape, ‘Slime & B’).

Now, in an effort to follow that the success of that top 10 banger, the duo have lifted another cut from the May 5-released set; ‘Say You Love Me.’

Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion‘s ‘WAP’ is proving a tsunami-sized hit on the Billboard Hot 100.

Three weeks ago, after a two-week reign, the tune was temporarily unseated from the chart’s summit by explosive BTS smash, ‘Dynamite.’

The empowered sales and streaming that ensured that dethronement was short-lived saw B back at #1 the next week (as we reported here).  Now – as the updated chart reveals – ‘WAP’ is staying put for another 7-day frame.

Since March 15, 2020, The Weeknd‘s megahit, ‘Blinding Lights,’ has managed to shine in the top 5 of the Hot 100 – a total of 28 weeks.

Eventually hitting #1 and staying there for four weeks total (his fifth chart-topper), the Max Martin-produced cut helped drive its parent album, ‘After Hours,’ to some of the biggest sales of the year.

Already a vehicle to Hot 100 history books on the Radio chart (as we reported here), the enduring hit has dimmed the reign of Ed Sheeran‘s monster smash ‘Shape of You’ (2017) to become the longest-running top 5 hit in history.

BTS gave fans a very special performance of three of their songs when they appeared on NPR’s ‘Tiny Desk Concert’ series.

While the group did not perform at the NPR offices in Washington, D.C., they made do with a sleek studio space that fir them and their backing quartet of musicians.

The K-Pop group began their concert with their chart-topper ‘Dynamite,’ before performing ‘Save Me’ from ‘The Most Beautiful Moment in Life: Young Forever.’  

They then finished off with their song ‘Spring Day,’ which they said they hoped would bring comfort during the pandemic.

“It’s been the roughest summer ever, “but we know that spring will come.”
