Readers of That Grape Juice know what avid music lovers we are – especially of hits past.

So, as our retrospective segments, ‘From the Vault’ and ‘TGJ Replay,’  allow us the chance to re-spin the gems and jams of yesterday of one artist, our newest feature Chart Rewind serves as a variation of our Retro Rewind assay to salute an entire era of music history.

This week we’ll jet back to one of the biggest duets in music history:  Brandy & Monica‘s ‘The Boy is Mine.’

Skai Jackson has built quite the reputation for being the one you DON’T want to mess with on social media.

Having snatched the wigs of quite a few of her fellow celebs, the clapback Queen – despite boasting quite the innocent aesthetic – has truly proven herself to be #savage.

But, just in case some needed a reminder the 18-year-old is serving it via her official Twitter handle.  Changing her name to ‘Queen of Exposing Racists,’ Jackson is calling by name people who are using their platforms to hoist hateful messages.

In the midst of the hottest spotlight in recent history being placed on anti-racist rhetoric, the actress is giving those who don’t stand in solidarity with the movement just the type of attention they deserve.

Trey Songz vents with his voice on new song ‘2020 Riots: How Many Times.’

The impassioned track sees the R&B star shine light on the injustices faced in the Black community at the hands of police brutality and institutionalized racism.

Speaking on the release, Songz explained:

“Three or four nights ago I woke up in the middle of my sleep…I couldn’t sleep. My chest was hurting. I got up and called my producer, Troy Taylor and I said “We’ve got to make music that really touches the soul, that really addresses what the world is feeling right now. Especially our people. So we came up with ‘2020 Riots: How Many Times’.” With the words in this song I just wanted to speak to everyone’s hearts and acknowledge the pain and anguish everyone is going through right now. I know this ain’t usually my message and you’re not used to hearing this from me, but this is the person I’ve always been.”

Proceeds from sales will go directly towards the Black Lives Matter and the Community Justice Exchange’s National Bail Fund Network.
