In case there was any doubt longtime rivals Faith Evans and Lil Kim had buried the hatchet, the two put it to rest recently when they announced intent to hit the road on a co-headlining tour.

The duo, who took to New York City this weekend to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Notorious B.I.G.’s ‘Ready to Die’ album at a mural unveiling, sent fans into a frenzy by unveiling some historic news of their own.

Naomi Campbell undoubtably stands as one of the most legendary supermodels of all-time and, for many, even defines the term.

And while others would have rested on the comfort of her well-earned status, the style icon is using her platform for a potent cause.

Case in point last night’s ‘Fashion For Relief’ presentation, which returned to London in triumphant form. Previous instalments have taken place in New York, Cannes, Moscow, and Mumbai.

Established by Campbell in 2005 to raise money for disaster relief worldwide, the 2019 show was held at the British Museum and saw the supermodel deliver her famed “Naomi Campbell Walk.’

After the presentation (which was attended by the likes of Anna Wintour, Tiwa Savage, Damson Idris, Skepta, Eve, and Edward Enniful), a gala dinner was held and auction where prized art and designer items were sold to raise money for the Mayor’s Fund for London. Funds raised are set to go towards employability programs which offer support for young Londoners from low-income backgrounds.

Head below for pics, as well as word from Campbell on the incredible movement:

Today’s From The Vault journeys back to the end of the 90’s. This week, we give you Monifah’s sassy number ‘Touch It.’

The lead single from the singer’s sophomore set ‘Mo’hogany,’ ‘Touch’ was produced by Jack Knight and Mario Winans in 1998.

It became Monifah’s biggest hit reaching Top 10 status both on the US Hot 100 and Hot Hip-Hop/R&B – #9 on the respective tallies. In Canada, the cut peaked at #15 and was a Top 30 single in the UK.

It’s fascinating hearing just how similar this song sounds to what would rule the charts a whole decade later. It wouldn’t be a stretch saying that this very track could have been featured on Britney Spears’ ‘Blackout’ LP.

****************

In the tune’s accompanying video, which was directed by Chris Robinson, Monifah and her army dancers perform for the American troops, who appear to want nothing more than to… touch them.

****************

Unfortunately, things never really picked up following the success of this song for the talented artist whose great potential seemingly wasn’t enough to guarantee a place in the sun on the then-burgeoning R&B scene.

Still, she delivered a classic for the ages that is still being celebrated today. So for that, we give an eternal salute.

80’s and 90’s babies rejoice!

Although the current Hollywood wave of rebooting the best movies and television shows from our childhoods has been launched to varying critical and commercial results, it’s certainly a trend we shouldn’t expect to slow any time soon.

Two series who recently joined the brigade are FOX’s teen drama, ‘Party of Five,’ and  Nickelodeon’s ‘Are You Afraid of the Dark?’  Both announced over the last year, the former – set for relaunch on Freeform – lifted a sneak peek at its premiere episode shortly before the latter’s trailer was unveiled (which is set to remain on its home network).  And, while fans of the shows’ first respective runs shouldn’t expect to see faces from the originals, creators promise its content will be no less engaging.

We’ll let you be the judges of that.  Look inside to see the first trailers:
