Cop a gander of Grammy nominee Tamar Braxton!

The ever-busy beauty covers the December/January issue of Black Woman Style Report with adorable son Logan Vincent Hebert, who was born back in June.

Fresh from a well-received stint on tour with John Legend, the ‘Love And War’ singer has been hot on the promo trail for new Holiday album ‘Winter Loverland’.

On the TV side of the spectrum, Ms. Braxton-Herbert can be seen getting up to her usual antics alongside her equally as engaging sisters  on the current season of WE tv’s Braxton Family Values. Next year also brings with it the return of She Me Her’s ensemble chat show The Real on FOX. Needless to say, winning!

Your thoughts?

Commercial glory aside, Nicki Minaj’s lyrical skill and story telling abilities have seen her rise well above the realm of ‘Female Rap’ to become one of the most celebrated Rappers of all time.

Indeed, despite trying and failing numerous times to cite her aesthetic, financial backing and eccentricities as the root cause of her notoriety, her naysayers continue to find themselves faced with facts that point to the contrary.

Facts, that lie in her subtle use of  metaphors, clear diction and versatility . Facts, acknowledged by ‘Through the Wire’ lyricist Kanye West, who has named her verse on his 2010 cut ‘Monster’ the best Hip Hop verse of all time.

The forecasts are in and it’s looking like rainy days may be ahead for Britney Spears‘ new album ‘Britney Jean’.

Led by ‘Work B*tch’, the LP has been the subject of ample debate (including here on That Grape Juice) due to the so-so performance of its preceding singles – the latest being ballad ‘Perfume’.

Like the record-buying public, the material we’ve heard thus far has done little to rouse us. A fact that seems to have weighed heavily on the project’s potential sales.

For, the ever-reliable folk over at Hits Daily Double have revealed their opening week estimates for the LP. And let just say, like ‘Perfume’s chart performance, it doesn’t smell too nice.

Like the world it exists in, the music industry has shrunk.

Indeed, thanks to the onset of the internet, stars are able to broaden their reach in markets beyond their own. No longer are acts confined to the locality of where they’re signed; they now have a global audience.

What’s more, with buyer spend at an all-time low, acts are almost compelled to cultivate a worldy presence so as to survive in the era of 360 deals, which see record labels recoup spend via international touring, merchandise, and brand partnerships.

It’s surprising, then, that one of Britain’s supposed top Pop stars, Cheryl Cole, has gone on record express that she has no interest being known in music’s biggest market, one she pulls so heavily pulls from. She doesn’t want to be known in the US.

As even the loyalest of Mariah Carey‘s “Lambs” would confirm, the diva’s vocals have enjoyed jaw-dropping highs as well as unfortunate lows.

However, the 43-year-old was in incredible form this week during a “festive” moment with fans after a taping of Late Night With Jimmy Fallon.

On the taped segment of the show, Mimi surprised her supporters by walking in mid-way through their exclusive listening session of her new single ‘The Art Of Letting Go’ (click here to watch the video).

Yet, the real fun took place in this behind the scenes footage taped by camp Carey.

The songbird, along with a pianist and backing vocalists, thrilled the elated Lambs with an impromptu jam session – fusing together the instrumentation of one of our favorite cuts (ever) ‘Fly Like A Bird’, as well as new single ”Letting Go’.

Before learning of the record breaking sales he’s set to score with the new album, Eminem‘s ‘Marshall Mathers LP 2‘ took him to Rolling Stone magazine recently, where he was forced to answer questions on the allegedly homophobic lyrics that exist on the project.

Namely, on the rising hit that is ‘Rap God.’

What he had to say on the matter?

She’s the Reality TV mogul oft praised for her turning salacious lemons into high end lemonade.

However, despite making positive strides towards ridding her brand of the sex tape that birthed it, Kim Kardashian still finds herself being labelled somewhat of a laughing stock, denied the respect afforded her own ‘televised’ antics robbed her of.

It’s this, according to fans of Pop royal that Beyonce, that should give the star enough reason not to attend Kardashian‘s wedding to ‘Diamonds’ performer Kanye West, taking to Ben Rattray‘s ‘Change.Org’ to launch a hilarious petition they hope will force her to decline the impending invitation.

Barely a year after his 2012 debut album ‘Well Done’ lived up to its moniker critically and commercially, BET ‘Sunday Best’ champion Joshua Rogers unleashes its follow-up ‘Unconditional’ (in stores today).

Continuing to follow the phenomenal path its predecessor carved, 19-year-old Rogers’ newest work showcases yet again an instrument that is tuned far beyond its years.  And, via our recent sit-down with the young star, his sophomore album will also illustrate artistic growth to match – a feat evidenced by his writing contribution to each song on the project.

Already christened one of the year’s most anticipated gospel offerings, tuck in for more on Rogers’ new album, news about a reality show, and so much more:

R&B belter Tamar Braxton is wasting no time building on her buzz.

2013 has seen the singer expand her empire both professionally and personally – bringing with it ample success with sophomore album ‘Love And War’, as well as the birth of first child Logan Vincent Herbert.

Currently on tour with John Legend, the diva is gearing up for the release of Holiday album ‘Winter Loverland’ next month.

And despite her “busy”, Braxton is also looking beyond the festive season – recently confirming that a re-release of ‘Love And War’ is in the works for next year.

With a resume full of career milestones (see: Stellar & Dove Award wins, Grammy nominations, having the longest running #1 single in history), you'd think there would be few “firsts” left for gospel superstar Marvin Sapp.

But, as his first holiday-themed album 'Christmas Card' (in stores now) reveals, even the most seasoned of stars still have room for new achievements.

That Grape Juice recently caught up with the “Never Would've Made It” singer to chat specifically about the new album (which features the likes of former group Commissioned, R&B singer Joe, and more), his new reality show, thoughts on the controversial 'Preachers of LA', and so much more.  As always, you don't want to miss this:

KERRY WASHINGTON, COLUMBUS SHORT (BACKGROUND)

The real scandal is that it took so long to invite her!

That’s right #Gladiators, your favorite fixer Kerry Washington is on her way from D.C. to New York to host the November 2nd airing of Saturday Night Live.  Coming in as the first black woman to host the show in over a year, Washington’s visit is much welcomed after Kenan Thompson – a regular cast member of the show – made headlines for addressing the “diversity issues” aboard SNL‘s cast.

The announcement comes just after news of ‘Scandal’s continued domination of TV ratings after the premiere of their third season.  Episode 3, which aired last Wednesday, raked in 9.5 million (just short of its series high of 10.1 million for its season 3 premiere).

Portraying a real life character in a film probably comes with ease when half of your life has been played across T.V. screens.  Just ask Adrienne Bailon, she’ll tell you.

Depicting the life of “church girl” Vanessa Leon in the new faith-based movie “I’m In Love With A Church Girl” (in theaters October 18th), Bailon walks a well-scripted mile in someone else’s shoes for the feel-good film already winning rave reviews from critics.

We caught up with the singer/actress recently for an exclusive sitdown to dish on the new movie, working with rapper Ja Rule, the future of ‘The Real’ talk show, 3LW, and so much more.

As always, Miss Bailon keeps it all the way real.  Tuck in below to see the interview in its entirety:
