“You be all in my business like a Wendy interview”

Mariah Carey playfully name-checked Wendy Williams on her 18th #1 single ‘Touch My Body.’ However, she was in no endorsing mood after the TV host implied she’s on the verge of another breakdown.

So irked by the comment she took to social media to throw a direct jab at the former shock jock.

Mariah Carey was honored at the GLAAD Media Awards last night at New York’s Waldorf Astoria.

The seasoned diva received the Ally Award, which recognizes “a media figure who has consistently used their platform to support and advance LGBT equality and acceptance.”

Mimi was introduced by filmmaker friend Lee Daniels, who she thanked profusely during her tongue-in-cheek acceptance speech.

Age ain’t nothing but a number. Just ask Mariah Carey.

The 43-year-old diva is showing no signs of slowing. With a hit on her hands in the form of ‘#Beautiful’ and an album due next month, it’s clear Ms. Carey-Cannon is in a music state of mind.

Still, she’s not letting this (nor ‘Glitter’) quell her big screen ambitions. The songstress is set to make a cameo in Lee Daniels‘ hotly anticipated new movie ‘The Butler’. Already tipped for Oscar success, the film chronicles the life and times of Eugene Allen – the Black butler who served eight US presidents between 1952-1986.

Set for release in October, a new promo for the flick (which also stars Oprah Winfrey and Terrence Howard)  has been released depicting a make-up less Mimi working in the fields. A far cry from her glamorous get-ups, this marks the second time the singer has appeared in such a manner for an acting role. The first, 2009’s ‘Precious’, was also directed by Daniels.

Peep the official trailer for Mariah Carey’s most recent foray into the movie sphere ‘Tennessee’. Directed by Lee Daniels, the movie is Carey’s first major feature in a film since 2001’s ‘Glitter’…(and we all know the story with that lol). This definitely looks worth a look-see though. ‘Tennessee’ hits theatres across the US on December 19th.

Randomness: Does anyone else think Mariah’s ‘Glitter’ album was actually pretty good? I rate it higher than quite a few of her releases.
