Due via Republic Records on March 8, the ‘yes, and?’ led project serves as the chart-topper’s first studio LP in four years.

Wendy Williams has long been renowned for delivering Hot Topics, however recent times have seen the star’s life serve as the headline grabber in and of itself.

From the infidelity-driven implosion of her marriage to battles with addiction to erratic behavior to the end of her long-running talk show, the later years of Williams’ journey have been a rollercoaster; one that has spun oh so publicly.

This past week saw fresh chapters of controversy added to her narrative in the wake of the premiere of Lifetime‘s ‘Where Is Wendy Williams?’ documentary, the shock disclosure from the host’s healthcare team that she is battling dementia, and the last-minute legal moves her guardian actioned to seemingly prevent the broadcast of the four-hour special.

Now, amidst ample discourse about whether the documentary ought to have aired in the first place in light of Williams’ visible condition, producer Mark Ford has opened up about the process of piecing together the project.

He also shared behind-the-scenes insights, which paint a much more layered picture of the reality of Williams’ predicament, the family’s goal in signing off on the venture, and the hopeful outcome.

More than anything, he is emphatic in his stance that had the dementia diagnosis been made apparent beforehand, there never would have been a documentary.

Beyonce‘s foray into Country music has been nothing short of historic.

Beyond watching the single ‘16 Carriages‘ ride her into history books for being one of few female singers with over 50 top 40 hits, the Killah B-produced ‘Texas Hold ‘Em‘ took hold of the Hot 100’s top spot this week – a feat that made her the first Black woman to occupy the hitlist’s summit with a Country tune.

As if that’s not enough to boast, she joins Taylor Swift as the only women to top the all-genre chart with a Country hit this century.

And, while her beloved fanbase – affectionately call the #Beyhive – continue to buzz over the aforementioned triumphs, there may be an even bigger reason to celebrate.

After Lifetime watched their made-for-TV movie ‘Single Black Female‘ march to historic ratings in 2022 (coming as the year’s #1 original non-holiday movie), the women’s network is undoubtedly hoping to repeat the feat with its sequel: ‘Single Black Female 2: Simone’s Revenge.’

Seeing stars Raven Goodwin, Amber Riley, and K. Michelle reprise their roles, the new film takes place three years later and shows Monica (Goodwin) ready to start life anew in Seattle. Unbeknownst to her, Simone (Riley) is cooking up a murderous plot of revenge.

Will she succeed this time?

The promo campaign mounted for Jennifer Lopez‘s latest album, ‘This Is Me…Now,’ was nothing short of impressive.

When not tackling morning and late night talk shows, Lopez made her rounds to ‘SNL‘ as well as radio, print, and Web outlets amid promotion of the project’s accompanying movie on Prime Video.

The combined potency of the exposure helped ‘Now’ soar to be the week’s best-selling album, defeating the likes of Billboard top-sellers like Yeat‘s ‘2093,’ Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign‘sVultures 1,’ Usher‘s ‘Coming Home,’ and Taylor Swift projects.

Yet, in a polarizing twist, the figures that lifted it to #1 on the pure Album Sales chart were barely enough to land it in the Billboard 200’s top 40.
