‘Basketball Wives’ star Evelyn Lozada‘s seeing her name bounce across headlines after a heated, on-screen confrontation with a co-star saw her hurl a racial epithet – a move that’s landed her in hot water with the show’s fans.

CeCe Gutierrez, a newcomer on the series, was the recipient of the attack as she was branded “Lee Lee” by Lozada during the altercation.  Sending viewers into an uproar, Evelyn eventually took to social media to offer an apology for her comment but it appeared to be too little too late as some fans of the VH1 reality TV show are petitioning its executive producer and star, Shaunie O’Neal, to fire her for the infraction.

Be ye a fan or not, two things you can’t knock:  Iggy Azalea‘s proclivity toward birthing bops and the girl’s hustle!

Despite seeing her latest effort, the ‘Survive the Summer’ EP, fail to survive on the Billboard 200 for more than one week (debuting at #144 upon its arrival), Azalea is promising support for the ailing project won’t stop at the music videos for some of its singles.

Just three weeks after announcing songs from her original sophomore album, ‘Digital Distortion,’ won’t ever see the light of day (click here to read), the Grammy-nominated rapstress amped fans when she not only unveiled news she was hard at work at her official revamped second LP but also that she’s piecing together a Stateside tour for a Fall 2018 kick off.

Ariana Grande‘s having the best week ever it seems.

As if topping the Billboard 200 with her latest album, ‘Sweetener,’ wasn’t enough cause to celebrate, the pint sized powerhouse can now sprinkle even more good news on top to sweeten the deal.  On the Hot 100 side of the fence, Grande nabbed her 10th top 10 hit thanks to the entry of ‘God is a Woman’ (which slid to #8 on this week’s refreshed tally).

It doesn’t end there.

The album’s also granted the songstress yet another entry into Billboard history books as she becomes just the fourth woman ever to land at least 10 songs in the Hot 100 simultaneously.  Joining the likes of Taylor Swift (who did it first), Beyonce (who did it twice), and Cardi B (who holds top rank among women with a whopping 13 concurrent entries), look inside to see where her ‘Sweetener’ songs placed and who else joins her in the top 25 on this week’s ‘TGJ Chart Check: Hot 100’ edition:

Despite seeing his entire 2018 rocked by nothing but controversy and backlash, is Kanye West finally turning a new leaf?  If his recent interview with Chicago’s 107.5’s “WGCI Morning Show” is anything to judge by, the answer is “yes.”

Taking to the outlet, West rendered an emotional interview that saw him dish on a number of hot topics including his controversial support for Donald Trump, that ‘slavery was a choice’ comment, the Drake vs. Pusha T feud, and so much more.  Near the sit-down’s end the Grammy-winner was reduced to tears and declared:

“I don’t know if I properly apologized for how the slavery comment made people feel,” he stated. “I’m sorry for the one-two of the MAGA hat into the slavery comment. And I’m sorry for people who felt let down by that moment.”

Elaborating ‘Ye stated:

“I need y’all as a city [Chicago] to just have my back and I promise you, you gon’ see a new ‘Ye,” he continued. “You gon’ feel the impact of the new relationships and the new ideas and exposure that I’ve gathered. It’s about to be applied now.”

…and the claws are out (again)!

Three years after sharing the BET Awards stage – a gesture that implied their longtime feud had ended – the beef between R&B songstresses Tamar Braxton and K. Michelle has been reignited.

The first douse over the flame came months ago when Braxton took to the ‘Steve Harvey’ show to lend some disparaging comments that didn’t quite sit well with the ‘Can’t Raise a Man’ maestra (who at the time was recovering from butt reduction surgery).  Now, Tamar – who isn’t exactly happy with sister Traci‘s decision to continue filming their WeTV reality show, ‘Braxton Family Values,’ with friends instead of family (click here to read more on that) – weighed in by saying:

“[Traci’s isn’t getting paid and] “she is getting LESS than lahh [Love and Hip Hop]…basically nothing.”

Once K. got wind of the comments, she delivered a fiery clap back.  See it inside:

As the world congregates to remember Michael Jackson on what would have been his  60th Birthday, his sister – Pop queen Janet Jackson – has saluted him in elaborate fashion.

The King of Pop’s superstar sibling teamed with Instagram favorites Kway and King Bach to playfully recreate MJ’s ‘Remember The Time’ – a visual many hailed a masterpiece.

In the original vid (directed by John Singleton), Michael starred as a performer tasked with entertaining the queen (played by supermodel Iman). Unsurprisingly, when she falls for him, he’s tasked with evading her husband the King (Eddie Murphy) while trying to steal a moment with her.

Who takes on what role in this refreshed version? Watch below to find out…

In being one of the most gifted entertainers of all-time, Michael Jackson‘s birthday has long been a global celebration.

This year, however, sees the late legend’s narrative reach a major milestone; for today marks what would have been his 60th birthday.

Fittingly, a series of celebratory activations are being unveiled – one of which is a new production courtesy of hitmaker Mark Ronson.

Christened ‘Diamonds Are Invincible,’ cultivating new mix of MJ classics was a task Ronson says he was greatly honored to be commissioned to do. In a statement, he gushed:

“It was such an amazing, awe-inspiring and insanely intimidating task to put this together, although you’d need hours and hours to fit all of Michael’s classic tunes into one track. I wanted this to feel like being on the dancefloor at a sweaty, wild NYC club getting down to as much MJ as possible in five minutes. And I can’t wait for you to all hear the extended version coming soon.”

The fun-loving performer Traci Braxton is making positive moves amidst the confusion surrounding ‘The Braxton Family Values.’

The show follows the lives of the Braxton sisters but found itself faced with confusion after its cast walked out over what sources say are problems with how much they are being paid to bare their souls on-screen.

Now, after her sister walked out, Traci has braved the storm by calling on a number of her famous friends to join her (Phaedra Parks being one of them) as she films the show solo.

How she feels about it?

As we reported here, uproar ensued after rapstress Cardi B teamed with ‘Off the Rip’ for a segment that many deemed ‘offensive.’

Portraying civil rights leader Coretta Scott King, wife of Dr. Martin Luther King, in the clip called the ‘Real Housewives of the Civil Rights Movement,’ the jokes housed in the skit were branded ‘racist,’ ‘insensitive,’ and more by a number of viewers once it surfaced on TMZ.

Even labelled ‘repulsive’ by Dr. Bernice King (the youngest daughter of the legendary King family), news has now surfaced the Grammy-nominated femcee has issued an apology for the hoopla caused.  More inside:
