‘And I Am Telling You’ hitmaker Jennifer Hudson has long been telling fans of her plans to introduce a clothing line.  Now, after adding actress, author, spokesperson, and humanitarian to her growing resume, the soon-to-be-Mrs. Otunga can now add ‘fashion designer’.

Set to appeal to women of all sizes, the threads – due September 10th – will be unveiled via QVC shopping network and will feature many of the styles you can see here (thanks TheYBF):

The announcement follows news the Clive Davis-mentee is readying a return to record shelves and has been booking studio time with long-time collaborator Ne-Yo, Diane Warren, and The Underdogs.

Hard to believe it’s been 4 months since the music industry lost pop icon Whitney Houston. Hitting industry insiders and fans equally, the event rocked the world and rocked even harder the organizers of the next day’s 54th annual Grammy Awards.

In the new documentary, ‘A Death in the Family: The Show Must Go On,’ Grammy organizers recall and revisit the scramble of trying to put together a fitting tribute to the fallen starlet under the short notice.  Filled with commentary and never-before-seen footage, the most touching segment may very well be the planning of powerhouse vocalist Jennifer Hudson‘s stirring ‘I Will Always Love You’ tribute to Houston (whom she’s long touted an idol).

While the passing of Whitney Houston in February remains one of music’s greatest tragedies, what she left behind is the ever-enduring gift of her classics.

In celebrating the legacy of The Voice, one of this generations most gifted vocalists Jennifer Hudson paid homage to Houston with an upbeat medley at the Samsung Hope For Children Gala in New York City.

A marked shift from Hudson’s sombre-soaked showcases of ‘I Will Always Love You’, her performance fused ‘I’m Every Woman’, ‘How Will I Know’, and ‘I Wanna Dance With Somebody’.

The big screen revival of stage-play ‘Dreamgirls’ took the movie and music arena’s by wig-snatching storm in 2006.

A potent potion of power anthems and stellar acting, the film earned the honor of being both a critical and commercial success;. Success rewarded amply during the 2007 award season – with the movie winning Best Motion Picture Musical at the Golden Globes and Jennifer Hudson historically bagging Best Supporting Actress at the 80th Annual Academy Awards a month later.

The night of the latter saw Hudson, along with fellow “Dreamettes” Beyonce and Anika Noni Rose serve up a three-song extravaganza which, much like the movie, is a classic.

Here’s hoping the similarly-themed ‘Sparkle’ (starring Whitney Houston) delivers such goods when it arrives in theatres this August.

‘Leaving Tonight’ co-stars Jennifer Hudson and Ne-Yo hit the ‘American Idol’ stage tonight to gift audiences with another live rendition of their R&B banger ‘Think Like A Man’.  The Rick Ross-assisted track, which is the title track for the soundtrack and soon-to-be-released movie of the same name, has certainly been burning up urban radio since its release weeks ago.

‘Spotlight’ singer Jennifer Hudson turned heads rocking this Ralph & Russo couture gown with plunging neckline.  Taking center stage at the grand opening of The Smith Centre for the Performing Arts in Las Vegas this weekend, the Grammy winner reportedly brought down the house with her performance of ‘Take Care of This House’.

Joined on stage by Martina McBride, whom she also shared the stage with at the 2011 Grammys (in tribute to Aretha Franklin), see snaps of the divas in action below:

After nearly a year hiatus from the music scene, looks like ‘Spotlight’ singer Jennifer Hudson is ready to get back in the spotlight with the Ne-Yo and Rick Ross-assisted ‘Think Like A Man’.  The lead single from the soundtrack of the Steve Harvey book turned movie (also sharing the same title), funny man Kevin Hart (who also stars in the film) guests the Chris Robinson-directed visual.

Talk about a hot shot!  Looks like ‘Feeling Good’ wailer Jennifer Hudson was feeling herself when she shared this snapshot to her Twitter followers recently.  Despite a media blitz that saw the soon-to-be Mrs. Otunga lending her life story (and weight loss advice) in her memoir ‘I Got This’, Jen took another impromptu opportunity to show off her new abs in this snap.

Looks like the Weight Watchers diva is truly the one to watch!

Best selling author.  The accolades for ‘Spotlight’ singer Jennifer Hudson continue to shine (and grow) as her 2012 rolls on.  Still with two films in the pipeline and more dates booked for her now New York Times listed best selling book ‘I Got This’, its safe to say that Jen’s upcoming honeymoon probably won’t be very long given the demands of her increasing schedule since teaming up with weight loss giants Weight Watchers.
