In 2017, the respected attorney Phaedra Parks was asked not to reprise her role in the hit series ‘The Real Housewives of Atlanta’ after it emerged that she was behind claims that her co-star Kandi Burruss had joked about assaulting their mutual friend Porsha Williams.
Hidden from viewers was a deeper layer of the story which saw Carlos King, one of its producers, named as the man who allegedly used Parks and Porsha to weave the lie into the show’s storyline in a bid to hurt Burruss who he was said to be feuding with.
Now it appears that this fact has lifted some of the weight Parks was forced to carry alone and seen her return to the series.

DJ Mustard may be best known for cranking out some of Urban music’s biggest bangers over the last 5 years, but the 27-year-old hitmaker is showing off his diversity with the EDM-flavored, ‘Anywhere,’ featuring vocals from Pop sensation Nick Jonas.
Reportedly featured on Jonas’ yet-released fourth album, the follow-up to 2016’s ‘Last Year Was Complicated,’ ‘Anywhere’ is said to draw inspiration from the Drake‘s and The Weeknd‘s of the music world (per the singer himself).
Ahead of joining forces to perform the tune live at the 2018 MTV Movie & TV Awards (June 18), look inside to see what Nick & Mustard cooked up:
While her lengthy catalog of hits had already seen her leave her nearest competitors, Madonna and Rihanna, in her rearview as it related to top 40 placements overall, Taylor Swift‘s latest hit – ‘Delicate’ – has only helped cement the distance.
A slow burner in comparison to the success of its ‘Reputation’ predecessors, the Max Martin-produced cut leaped to #36 this week and, in the process, gave the pop princess her 56th top 40 entry.
A historic feat, look for details below:
For the few who needed reminder that Janet Jackson still had “it” (even at 52-years-old), that notice was served at the 2018 Billboard Music Awards when the pop icon popped, locked, and dropped it all across the MGM Grand Garden Arena stage in Las Vegas on May 20 (click here if you missed it).
And, while the showing may have drawn its lowest viewership this decade (click here for ratings), those who did view the spectacle – namely Jackson performing a medley of her top hits – had no problem extending their praise for the singer to social media, streaming outlets, and digital sales forums.

Gospel superstar Kim Burrell came under fire at the top of 2017 for a sermon many deemed ‘hateful’ and ‘homophobic.’ The backlash not only saw many of her industry friends distance themselves, but also saw her lose many-an-endorsement including a television show, radio show, and denied entry to award shows for her reported anti-LGBT stance (click here to read on that).
None of the aforementioned dominated headlines as much as her unceremonious disinviting from the ‘Ellen’ show after fans of the program called for the cancellation of her appearance alongside Pharrell Williams in support of the soundtrack to the film ‘Hidden Figures’ (Taraji P. Henson, Octavia Spencer). While most of last year and the earlier parts of 2018 saw her ‘hidden’ – keeping quite the low profile since the public damning – the songstress re-emerged recently to assure her faithful followers she was never in ‘hiding,’ but was instead ‘getting rich.’
Going on to namedrop Degeneres in a fiery sermon, look below to hear Burrell sound off on her critics and clap back at those who’ve implied her career is over:
The King of Pop’s estate has royally slammed ABC for a forthcoming documentary on the superstar, labelling the venture a ‘crass and unauthorized attempt to exploit the life, music and image of Michael Jackson without respect for Michael’s legacy.’
As we reported here, the 2-hour TV special – ‘The Last Days of Michael Jackson’ – will not only look at the rise and fall of music’s biggest persona, but also highlight never-before-seen interview footage with ABC News stars Barbara Walters and Diane Sawyer.
And, while the doc will air as planned tonight, Jackson’s estate is letting it be well known they are not in favor. See their full statement inside:
