Sonic, everyone’s favorite hedgehog, is racing to theaters in a new live action depiction of his famed SEGA video game.

Set for a November 8 premiere, the flick sees the speedy blue character voiced by Ben Schwartz (of ‘Parks and Recreation’), =his longtime nemesis, ‘Doctor Robotnik,’ portrayed by Jim Carrey, and many more familiar faces.

For, not only will the star be headlining Coachella, he’ll be premiering a short film named ‘Guava Island’ c0-starring Rihanna.

Initially, it was believed the announced YouTube stream would serve as its overall debut.

Welcome to Retro Rewind, the TGJ original feature carved out to celebrate TV and Film’s glorious past.

Today, we honor the British music series Top of the Pops.

Premiering on January 1st 1964, the show was created to serve as a chart show / promotional vehicle for Pop fans and their “idols” alike and would reveal which song stood as the highest-seller of the week every Friday!

Ending its historical weekly run in 2006, TOTP now broadcasts as a  Christmas and New Year’s Day special.

Over the course of its mammoth tenure, the show played host to a number of stars from home and away.

Normani is well on her way to solo stardom and made that abundantly apparent last night at the opening show of the ‘Sweetener Tour.’

For, the Fifth Harmony singer may be the support act on Ariana Grande’s US trek, but she brought a main event slay to her slot.

Backed by four dancers and a full band, the magnetic performer blew the roof off the Times Union Center in Albany, NY.

With the masses getting to know her and an album still incoming, her set skilfully spotlighted hit singles such ‘Love Lies’ and ‘Dancing With A Stranger,’ while also touching on her 5H foundation (with the likes of ‘Worth It’ and ‘Work From Home’) She saluting some of her idols too such as Rihanna and Aaliyah.

Over a month after teasing fans of one-time flagship BET series, ‘Being Mary Jane,’ with a :15 second look at its finale, the network is giving viewers a glimpse at the show’s two hour send off in the form of an official trailer.

Just with a preview alone the explosive CBS interview with R. Kelly sent the net into a frenzy.

Airing in full moments ago, the emotionally-charged sit down saw resident anchor Gayle King grill the R&B superstar on harrowing sexual abuse accounts from numerous victims that led his indictment on 10 counts of sexual assault (click here to read more).

“I’m very tired of all of the um, lies, I’ve been hearing things and seeing things on the blogs, and I’m just tired,” he told King on “CBS This Morning” during the interview that aired Wednesday (March 6). “Everybody says something bad about me. Nobody said something good. They was describing Lucifer. I’m not Lucifer. I’m a man. I made mistakes, but I’m not a devil.”
