Much like celebrity figures CeeLo Green, Russell Brand, and others (as we reported here), Carole Baskin wasn’t shy about voicing her displeasure with the content found aboard Cardi B & Megan Thee Stallion‘s joint hit, ‘WAP.’

Unlike the other critics, however, Baskin was less concerned with the racy lyrics and costumes in the tune’s not-so-family-friendly music video but was more focused on the digitized big cats (i.e. tigers, leopards, jaguars) featured in it (as we reported here).

And, while aware their presence in the Colin Tilley-directed visual was virtual, Carole – an animal rights activist who specialized in protection of big cats – complained the fact the beasts there at all glamorizes turning them into pets.

Once word of Carole’s criticism reached the desk of Cardi B, she hit back hard. Look inside to see what she said (in case you missed the action):

Like many, Jason Derulo had high hopes for ‘Cats’ – not least because he starred in the film as Rum Tum Tugger.

However, what was intended to be a blockbuster ended up as a box office catastrophe.

The 2019 flick, which co-starred Taylor Swift and boasted a budget of over $100 million, bombed at the box office after generating just $75 million at the US box office. It also didn’t fare well internationally.

Much of the blowback centered on the poor CGI (which, in an unprecedented move, had to be updated post-release).

Months removed from the chaos, Derulo is reflecting on the film.

Serving as his first role, he explained that he thought the Tom Hooper production “was gonna change the world.”

Thursday (August 6), nearly a week after promising to do so, President Donald Trump signed executive orders that would ban the popular social media platform TikTok in the United States in 45 days if they are not sold by their Chinese-owned parent companies (namely ByteDance).

If he thought American execs at TikTok would let go of the multi-billion dollar business without a fight, he’s sadly mistaken.  According to reports, they’re ready to wage an all-out legal war to combat Trump’s order.

Despite releasing his T-Pain-assisted tune, ‘Can You Hear Me?,’ in February, R&B stageblazer Omarion was forced to put promotion of it and its parent album, ‘Passport,’ on hold due to the global health crisis.

Nearly 6 months later, the GRAMMY-nominated star is revving up the campaign around the song by unleashing its official music video.  Putting on his dancing shoes, O used the clip to ode dance communities across the U.S. that showed off their best footwork to the energetic song.

Via an official statement to accompany the visual, the 35-year-old stated:

“In these unprecedented times during Covid-19 and social injustice, I wanted to offer a reprise via spiritual nourishment. Through the unifying language of dance is joy. Members of the dance community put this video together on their own, and i’m honored to present it as the official video for ‘Can You Hear Me?”
