Welcome back to TGJ Replay!

Designed much like our ‘Retro Rewind’ and ‘From the Vault’ features, ‘Replay’ is That Grape Juice‘s newest reflective segment to act as a written quest to re-spin the gems and jams of yesterday. Unlike its TGJ retrospective predecessors, ‘Replay’ looks to dust off and showcase entire albums (and eras) from a library of pop and Urban pop music hits.

In honor of its 15th birthday (October 26), this week we’ll press play on Christina Aguilera‘s magnum opus:  ‘Stripped’…

We ain’t knockin what you do homie, but the good folks at Black Twitter?  Well, needless they say some of them aren’t exactly as receptive to the idea of the radio show host playing with strap-ons!

While recent headlines have seen the self-proclaimed Queen of Rap reign over headlines more for personal dramas than professional endeavors (see:  testifying at brother’s rape trial, backlash for asserting her position in “reintroducing female hip hop to the mainstream”), Nicki Minaj is still using her platform to highlight problems in the Hip Hop community that mesh the two realms of personal and professional.

Just two weeks after highlighting the absence of dominating female presences in the Hip Hop world, Minaj highlights her own personal struggles the top.  The biggest hurdle she’s had to overcome?  Sexism.  And, let the Grammy nominee tell it, it’s a battle she’s still having to fight…

Even with 11 studio albums, dozens of mixtapes, EPs, and more, rapper Gucci Mane‘s Hot 100 history – outside of guest appearances on rap duo Rae Sremmurd‘s #1 hit ‘Black Beatles’ and Selena Gomez’s ‘Fetish’ – has not sung of much top 30 success.

In fact, as of September 2017, Big Guwop had never been able to boast ownership of a top 30 single as a leading artist.  However, that all changed thanks to his Migos-assisted single, ‘I Get the Bag,’ which – as of time reported – is on its way to helping him bag his first ever top 10!

It’s an awesome time to be pop-rocker P!nk.

The powerhouse songstress – who saw the Billboard 200 welcome her to her second consecutive chart-topper, ‘Beautiful Trauma’ – is also delivering disappointing news on the Hot 100 side of the charts to those who’d branded the set’s first single, ‘What About Us,’ a flop.

A politically charged number, the tune was threatening to deliver the second time in the singer’s nearly 20 year career that her album’s lead single did not crack the top 20 (the first being 2003’s ‘Try This’). However, thanks to some added promo the week of its parent album’s release,  ‘What’ has been lifted to a  new Hot 100 peak with promise to go even higher next week.

Look below to see where it and all of your faves o’ the day landed on this week’s refreshed Hot 100 chart check.
