Whoa, Baby!’ is exactly what we’ve been saying after trying to keep up with Destiny’s Child alum Kelly Rowland as she scorches the promo trail in support of her newly released book, ‘Whoa, Baby! A Guide for New Moms who Feel Overwhelmed and Freaked Out…”

Even before that whole animal fur protestor incident we reported here, Rowland’s rolls and strolls down promo lane have been nothing short of eventful and chockfull with her engaging comments on her eye-opening book, its inspiration, and content unafraid to “go there” (i.e. talks about post-baby boost jobs, sex, body “snap back,” and more).

However, no interview with the singer/songwriter would be complete without questions on her music.  Exciting onlookers with updates, Rowland dished heavily on her new project and even teased “it’s coming sooner than you think.”  Just in case you don’t believe us, tuck in to hear it from her lips:

As both acts seek new ways to extend their Pop life cycles, fans of Lady GaGa and her sister in song Beyonce continue to battle on social media.

Why?

GaGa’s decision to pick up a number of major opportunities Beyonce decided to put down.

As reported here, their respective support bases have locked horns after they learned that GaGa was to replace Beyonce in the forthcoming ‘A Star is Born’ remake and at this year’s Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.

This, coupled with Tomi Lahren‘s decision to praise GaGa’s SuperBowl performance for steering clear of Beyonce’s politically charged showing a year earlier, has turned Twitter into a very volatile place for both parties.

Intense.

What do you think fuels the often vicious rivalries between Pop music lovers and their fans?

Drake continues to cast a multi-platinum shadow over the likes of Justin Bieber, Chris Brown and Jason Derulo.

Standing tall as only of the only artists to enjoy success on streaming and pure sale fronts alike, the rapper has discovered that streams garnered by songs on his ‘More Life‘ release have crossed the 1 billion mark.

With this, the set spends its third week atop the Billboard 200 with 136,000 equivalent album units, extending the star’s lead as Pop and Hip-Hop’s reigning champ.

Billboard adds:

The set’s 22 tracks have now generated more than 1 billion on-demand audio streams in the U.S.: 1.07 billion through the week ending April 6, according to Nielsen Music. The latest tracking week pushed it past the billion threshold, as it collected another 167 million streams in the frame.

What does Drake have that the others  (his male contemporaries) don’t?

Weigh in below!

Last year’s saw millions locked in to OWN‘s newest drama ‘Queen Sugar.’ And with good reason. It slays.

The Oprah Winfrey and Ava DuVernay production proved a gripping watch with its weekly depiction of tale of three very different siblings trying to honor their father’s legacy and resurrect his rural Louisiana farm.

Upon its debut last September, it became the second best premiere ever for the 6 year old network. It’s little wonder, then, why it’s being brought back a little earlier for its 2017 run.

Today OWN announced a two-night premiere for its sophomore season – June 20th and June 21st. The 16-episode order, which is currently in production in New Orleans, will be air in two halves: the first this Summer and the second in the Fall.

‘Queen Sugar’ is anchored by Kofi Siriboe, Rutina Wesley and Dawn-Lyen Gardner (pictured above). Bianca Lawson also stars.

That debut season was everything. Hopefully, its second is just as sweet.

TLC have officially returned! The surviving members of the iconic group invite listeners to journey ‘Way Back’ with them on the lead single from their final album.

Financed by fans following a successful Kickstarter campaign, the LP (which is exec produced by Ron Fair) is set for a June 30th release.

Snoop Dogg joins TBoz and Chilli on the breezy song, which prescribes the right amount of warm nostalgia as we head into the summer months.

Take a listen to the Cali-coated track below…

We’re pleasantly surprised. This sounds like a bop.

On mainstream formats, it’ll no doubt have an uphill battle against ageism and politics of other sorts. But, there’s no reason this can’t be a hit with the adult contemporary audience – at the very least.

More broadly, it serves as a solid indicator that the LP will deliver decent material.

For those who contributed, it sounding like money well spent. Thus far.

The vocalist Tory Lanez has been arrested for gun and drugs-related charges.

While in Florida yesterday, the Brownstone-sampling singer was arrested in Florida’s Broward County when he was allegedly caught in possession of a concealed weapon and at least twenty grams of marijuana.

There’s more.

For, he was also locked up for failing to register a motor vehicle, driving without a drivers license and the failing to show proof of car insurance.

He was released after he posted a $1000 bond.

Unfamiliar with his work?
