Authentic harmony is a rare find in today’s beat driven industry. However, Little Mix continue show and prove with their blissful vocal blending.

The ladies are currently stateside plugging their fourth album ‘Glory Days’ and performed new single ‘Touch’ on a live-streamed fan event with MTV last night.

Produced by MNEK, the track is the second to be lifted from ‘Glory,’ which has sold over 300,000 in the UK alone in just under a month; a figure which sees the quad besting sales of many of music’s heaviest hitters.

Still, with the world for the taking, Perrie, Jesy, Jade, and Leigh-Anne aren’t resting on their laurels.

They’re soaring and in the process making folk sit up and pay attention.

See (and hear) what we mean below…

jem-and-the-holograms

Welcome to another edition of Retro Rewind, the TGJ original feature carved out to take our readers on a journey back to the TV and Film’s glorious and game-changing past.

Today, we revisit the hit children’s TV series ‘Jem & the Holograms.’

Created by Christy Marx, ‘Jem’ was built to offer TV lovers a female-led alternative to the action and adventure forces that were G.I. Joe and Transformers.

In it, we are introduced to a young mogul named Jerrica Benton who is the owner of a company named ‘Starlight Music.’

After her father’s death, she and her racially diverse group of musical friends discover Synergy, a computer built to be “the ultimate audio-visual entertainment synthesiser” with the power to turn their wildest creative dreams into a holographic reality.

What happens when Jerrica uses its software to transform into the Pop Rock royal Jem?

The self-proclaimed “Queen of Rap,” Nicki Minaj, is close to laying claim to another impressive title:  Queen of Billboard’s Hot 100.

That’s right, Minaj – whose first charted hit came in just 2009 – had already surpassed legendary divas Mariah Carey, Madonna, Janet Jackson, Barbra Streisand, and Whitney Houston in a short time with her number of mentions on the singles chart.  Now – thanks to the recent entry of ‘Black Barbies’ – even contemporary female hitmakers Rihanna and Taylor Swift lie in her rearview.

The only person who’s blocking her from the “all-time” title?  Another musical monarch: Queen of Soul Aretha Franklin…

Readers of That Grape Juice know what avid music lovers we are – especially of hits past.

So, as our retrospective features ‘From the Vault’ and ‘TGJ Replay’  allow us the chance to re-spin the gems and jams of yesterday of one artist, our newest feature Chart Rewind – a variation of our current Retro Rewind assay – accedes salutes to an entire era of music history.

Now we look back to Justin Timberlake‘s inaugural top 10 hit as a solo artist, ‘Cry Me a River.’  The second single lifted from his debut solo album, ‘Justified,’ the tune – the follow-up to the top 20 smash, ‘Like I Love You,’ came shortly after his highly publicized breakup with pop superstar  Britney Spears.  Perceived as a clear clap at the pop princess (even casting a look-a-like as the video’s love interest), Timberlake set in motion rumors that not only was Spears the cause of the relationship’s demise, but it was due to her infidelity.

Whatever its intent, it got people talking.  The song debuted on the Hot 100 this week 14 years ago and would go on to give JT his first top 5 placement on the Hot 100.

Tuck in below to see who occupied the chart’s upper rankings this week in 2002:

Chris Brown has never been one to hold his tongue – even when he perhaps he should.

And with new single ‘Party’ arriving today, the oft-controversial singer has more to say than he has in a while.

Fascinatingly, Brown’s latest PSA saw him bash streaming and instead urge fans to buy his song. Why? Because, according to him, he “works harder than all these n***as.”

His words await below. If you’re offended by profanity, look away.
