Britney Spears fans, affectionately called the #BritneyArmy, are not done waging war on the singer’s family in the wake of her reports of mistreatment under a nearly decade-and-a-half long court-ordered conservatorship.

While one victory came courtesy of the GRAMMY winner’s father recently stepping down from his leading role in the arrangement, the #Army apparently won’t be satisfied until Britney is completely freed of the legal stronghold.

Until then, they’ve now placed her sister – Jamie Lynn – in their sights.

Thanks to a well-received remix featuring Miley Cyrus, relative newcomer The Kid Laroi has been bumped to his highest Hot 100 position yet.

As the refreshed tally revealed Monday (May 10), the Aussie singer-rapper-producer saw his hit ‘Without You’ – which previously peaked at #30 on the hit list – hop to #8 after an assist from Cyrus.

Acting continues to agree with multi-hyphenate diva Keri Hilson.

The GRAMMY-nominated singer-songwriter may be best known for topping music charts with tunes like ‘Pretty Girl Rock,’ ‘Turnin Me On,’ ‘Knock You Down,’ and more (as well as writing hits for the likes of Britney Spears, Mary J. Blige, and others).  But – as evidenced by her appearances in a string of successful feature films on the big and small screen since the early 2010’s – her talents aren’t limited to the studio and stage.

No further evidence is needed than her latest movie venture, ‘Lust.’

Over its 62-year history, the Hot 100 has repeatedly proven itself to be a boys club.  But thanks to artists like Mariah Carey, Madonna, Janet Jackson, Whitney Houston, Rihanna, and other musical leading ladies, the playing field gets a little more even every year.

For evidence, one needn’t look much further than rapstress Cardi B – who recently nabbed her fifth chart-topper on the tally thanks to her latest single, ‘Up.’

No stranger to racing into history books, the historic accomplishment not only made her the first female rapper in history to have two Hot 100 #1 hits without a credited supporting feature but it also extended her record of most chart-toppers among female rappers (5).

And while she holds that title by her lonesome, there are other historic achievements attained by ‘Up’ that puts her in prestigious, Girl Powered company.

It’s hard to think of a time where music was made before the pandemic. While not every album released this year was made during the global health crisis, it couldn’t help but shape the listening experience.

There’s a common phrase in the music world: “Life sucked, but great records got us through.” While this could easily apply to individual years of our lives, it inevitably became the most true this year.

And though 2020 could easily be argued as the worst year in history, it brought out some of the best albums in recent times.

Joins us below to find out which albums are That Grape Juice‘s best of 2020…

After a slew of critically and commercially acclaimed biopics of some of music history’s most game-changing female acts (i.e. Whitney Houston, Toni Braxton, Aaliyah, Britney Spears, Clark Sisters, and more), Lifetime sent Hip Hop fans into a frenzy with the announcement female Rap pioneers Salt-N-Pepa would be next to see their story told via the women’s network.

What’s more, the Mario Van Peebles-directed project would be executive produced by group members Cheryl ‘Salt’ James and Sandra ‘Pepa’ Denton as well as by fellow Rap royal Queen Latifah (among others).

Chronicling their rise in the male-dominated Hip Hop industry, the movie will also put a lens on how the music business put a strain on their personal lives, friendship, and more.

iTunes sent the fan bases of some of Pop music’s most revered divas into battle mode last week when it announced a flash $4.99 sale of prized entries from their respective discographies.

After jaws dropped once reports surfaced Mariah Carey‘s 2008 album, ‘E=MC2,’ topped the real-time iTunes chart, fans of Janet Jackson and Madonna rushed to buy their albums as well, which resulted in their respective ‘Control’ and ‘Bedtime Stories’ sets soaring on the tally as well (as we reported here).

As fans wait with bated breath to learn where the new sales activity will land the projects on next week’s Billboard 200, the publication delivered a report to indicate it’s quite unlikely such will occur – especially given the absence of a streaming boost to assist.
