This time last year there’s no way we would’ve guessed the frequency we would be using the phrases “Justin Bieber” and “makes history” in the same sentence.
But, via his mega-comeback album ‘Purpose,’ earning “mainstay” status in the Billboard 200’s top 10 on the strength of singles ‘Love Yourself,’ ‘Sorry,’ and more, the singer has seen his name etched in history books several times since late 2015. Highlights include, but are certainly not limited to:
- Youngest artist to debut at #1 on the Hot 100
- Youngest artist to replace himself at #1 on the Hot 100
- Youngest male artist to earn three #1 singles from one album
- Most concurrent titles on the Hot 100 (17)
- Most collective views on VEVO (over 10 billion to date)
Now, as if the aforementioned aren’t enough to make heads spin (especially when one considers they were all attained in a matter of months), Bieber now has a new Hot 100 history-making feat to add to the already decorated tally.
