Lifetime are revving up their their latest biopic. This time’s it’s the turn of iconic songstress Toni Braxton.
Aptly titled ‘Toni Braxton: Unbreak My Heart,’ the original made-for-TV movie now has an official debut date of Saturday, January 23 at 8pm ET/PT.
Newcomer Lex Scott Davis (‘The Exes’) has landed the role of the seven-time Grammy Award-winning R&B diva in the flick which follows the singer’s journey from her discovery by mega producers L.A. Reid and Babyface, to her battle with Lupus.
The two-hour movie, which is executive produced by Braxton, also chronicles how the songbird soared above her public divorce, while navigating her son’s autism and family struggles. It brings to life her well-selling memoir (also titled ‘Unbreak My Heart’), which hit retail last year.
