Despite the chart misstep that was the Normani-assisted ‘Diamonds’ (click here to read more), Megan Thee Stallion‘s proving her shine on the Hot 100’s far from dimmed.

Case in point?  The commercial response to her latest single, ‘B.I.T.C.H.’

Produced by Detroit hitmaker Helluva, the song – which conceptually and sonically interpolates elements from Tupac’s ‘Ratha Be Ya N*gga’ – serves as the lead single from the Houston hottie’s highly anticipated debut studio album, ‘Suga.’ Released January 24, ‘B.I.T.C.H.’ (thanks to a handsome mix of streaming and digital downloads) premiered in the top 40 of this week’s refreshed Hot 100.

In fact, the #31 opening comes as a career milestone for the 24-year-old as it’s her highest solo debut on the tally to date.  As we extend our congratulations, look inside to see where she landed and who joined her on this week’s TGJ Chart Check:

After landing a top 30 hit with the Nicki Minaj & Ty Dolla $ign-assisted ‘Swalla’ in 2017, Jason Derulo – instead of following with news about the tune’s official parent project – opted to crank out more songs with no report of what larger body of work the tracks were tied to.

As we reported here, that changed last month when the stage blazer took to Instagram to confirm his new album – the follow-up to 2015’s ‘Everything is 4’ – would arrive November 8.  Originally christened ‘777,’ the opus, now titled ‘2SIDES,’ is actually listed on streaming and digital outlets as a pair of EPs (contrary to previous reports).  Its first installment, which debuted today, houses a six song track list.

And, while it only boasts rapstress Stefflon Don as a feature, the effort does not include any of the standalone tunes Derulo’s dropped over the last two years.

Will it be just what the Miami born singer needs to reignite Stateside interest in his music career?  Listen inside and let us know:

Barely a year-and-a-half after unveiling his debut studio album, ‘4275,’ self-proclaimed King of R&B Jacquees has already prepared its follow-up for a chart reign.

Titled ‘King of R&B,’ the project’s name comes as a clap back to detractors who disrespectfully disagreed when the 25-year-old crowned himself the genre’s leading monarch late last year (click here to read more).

Opting to show and tell, the singer took to Instagram recently to not only unveil his new LP’s cover art but also stun with its surprise release date.

This is a great week to be Kanye West.

Despite pissing fans off after multiple delays of his long-awaited new album, ‘Jesus Is King,‘ the Grammy-winner quickly won them over once the set was finally unveiled on October 25.  Opening to critical acclaim from industry leaders and fan alike, the project bowed at #1 on the refreshed Billboard 200 (as we reported here) to the impressive sum of 264,000.

And, while its domination on that tally saw West penciled in history books for claiming his 9th consecutive title to reach the summit, ‘King’ is also reigning above a number of other charts as well – namely the Hot 100.  Managing to place all 11 of its tracks on the hit list, the move not only makes him one of few performers able to claim such feat but also moved him up on the chart’s ‘all-time’ tally.

Report:

Upping his total from 96 Hot 100 visits to 107, West surpasses Nicki Minaj (105), Jay-Z (100) and Chris Brown (96) for fifth-most in the chart’s 61-year history. The Glee cast holds the record, with 207, followed by Drake (205), Lil Wayne (163) and Elvis Presley (109).
