With award show season in full swing, expect the year’s best and biggest in entertainment to be gearing up to grace the stages of annual staples to perform or accept some of the industry’s most coveted trophies.

The latest to unveil its highly anticipated list of nominees is the NBC & E! People’s Choice Awards.

Hosted by Kenan Thompson, the year’s list of leading musical nominees includes Bad Bunny (7), Harry Styles (6), Lizzo and Selena Gomez (5 apiece), and Beyonce, Lady Gaga, and Taylor Swift (3 each).

They aren’t the only big names in the running for the night’s prized statuettes, however.

‘Toxic’ hitmaker Britney Spears is truly living up to the title of her 2004 hit if Selena Gomez fans are to be believed.

Barely a month after being criticized by Christina Aguilera fans, affectionately called #Fighters, for making statements on Instagram that were perceived as “body shaming,” Spears finds herself making headlines for the topic of body positivity again – this time sharing her thoughts on ‘hypocrites’ who judge other women.

And while the latter post (uploaded October 25) didn’t mention any names, it was loaded with enough clues to make Gomez’s fans – affectionately called #Selenators – think Britney was slick dissing.

As her latest Hot 100 top 20 hit made clear, Normani isn’t afraid to show her wild side – even though the journey to confidently doing so wasn’t exactly the smoothest.

With nearly 100 million records sold worldwide over his illustrious 20-year solo career, Justin Timberlake is no stranger to seeing his name printed atop Billboard charts spanning from Pop to R&B and everything in between.

And while his devoted fans are impatiently waiting on official news regarding the follow-up to 2018’s chart-topping ‘Man of the Woods’ album, the 10-time GRAMMY winner has been tiding them over with guest appearance on other artists’ songs like the Calvin Harris cut ‘Stay With Me’ (which also features Pharrell Williams and Halsey) as well as the more recently released ‘Sin Fin’ led by global hitmaker Romeo Santos.

Michael Jackson may already be listed in history books as the most successful solo recording artist in history, but even 13 years after his death the King of Pop’s reign shows no sign of slowing.

On what would have been his 64th birthday (August 29), the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) took to press to reveal tunes from the late Pop icon’s timeless musical catalog have had their certification statuses updated due to astonishing and ongoing consumption on digital platforms.

The result – as expected – is nothing short of historic as he now towers above the competition with quite a few unique achievements.

2022 is proving itself to be quite the year for Rap icon Snoop Dogg.

As if kicking it off as part of a historic headlining Hip-Hop collective at this year’s Super Bowl wasn’t enough (as we reported here), the 50-year-old unveiled his own cereal – Snoop Loopz – and announced his attachment to multiple TV ventures including hosting duties for NBC’s ‘American Song Contest’ as well as Peacock’s ‘So Dumb It’s Criminal.’

From ‘End of an Era’ to the end of her retirement, Iggy Azalea is ready to press “play” on a new album after a yearlong hiatus from the music scene.

As reported here, Azalea dropped jaws when she took to press to announce her last studio album, 2021’s ‘End of an Era,’ would be her last (citing the desire to focus on motherhood and other business ventures as the reason for the unexpected exit).

In the time since, the GRAMMY nominee embarked on a North American tour with fellow rapper Pitbull.

Apparently the warm reception on the jaunt was just the catalyst needed to reignite Iggy Iggz’ passion for music as she took to Twitter recently to confirm she’s cooking up new tunes for the new year.
