It’s an awesome time to be pop-rocker P!nk.

The powerhouse songstress – who saw the Billboard 200 welcome her to her second consecutive chart-topper, ‘Beautiful Trauma’ – is also delivering disappointing news on the Hot 100 side of the charts to those who’d branded the set’s first single, ‘What About Us,’ a flop.

A politically charged number, the tune was threatening to deliver the second time in the singer’s nearly 20 year career that her album’s lead single did not crack the top 20 (the first being 2003’s ‘Try This’). However, thanks to some added promo the week of its parent album’s release,  ‘What’ has been lifted to a  new Hot 100 peak with promise to go even higher next week.

The ‘Love & Hip-Hop’ franchise continues to defy the odds.

Dismissed upon its debut as a momentary dose of ratchet, the show (in its many guises) has become a staple of VH1’s primetime programming.

It’s little wonder, then, why anticipation is high for the 8th season of its first incarnation – ‘Love & Hip-Hop: New York.’

Due to premiere Monday October 30th, the latest run of the Mona Scott Young hit welcomes back the likes of Remy Ma, Papoose, Peter Gunz, and Yandy Smith for a chapter of definite drama. Also in the mix this season are R&B songstress Lil Mo and Safaree Samuels

Despite cranking out four Hot 100-charting singles thanks to help from big named hitmakers Ariana Grande, Katy Perry, Migos, and more, Calvin Harris’ latest album –  ‘Funk Wav Bounces Volume 1’ – is threatening to become his first album since 2011 to not lay claim to at least one top 10 single.

Undoubtedly hoping to change that fate, the superstar DJ/producer has lifted a fifth release from the set – the Kehlani and Lil Yachty assisted ‘Faking It.’  Does the tune pack enough punch to power Harris to Billboard’s upper rankings?

Riding the wave of buzz created by single ‘Sky Walker,’ the crooner is gearing up for the release fourth studio album ‘War & Leisure’ – which is due before the year’s end.

The set follows 2015’s ‘WILDHEART’ and sees the star explore the duality and fragility of living in today’s socio-political climate.

We’ve heard the lion-share of the LP at a recent London playback and it sounds like some of his best work yet.

Tyler Perry has struck comedy gold with an unlikely hit – the Madea Halloween-inspired ‘Boo’ franchise.

This time last year, as we reported here, despite opening the same weekend as Tom Cruise‘s  highly anticipated ‘Jack Reacher,’  ‘Perry’s ‘Boo! A Madea Halloween’ emerged the unexpected victor in the box office showdown.  Fast forward to this past weekend, the Lionsgate film’s successor – ‘Boo 2!’ – has followed the footsteps of its hilarious predecessor.
