September 3 brought with it the long-awaited premiere of Camila Cabello‘s modernized, ‘girl power’ twist to the classic fairy tale, ‘Cinderella.’

Leading a bill of award-winning stars like Idina Menzel (TONY), Billy Porter (TONY, EMMY), and others, Cabello also captained the Amazon Prime film’s official motion picture soundtrack – which shared the same premiere date as its parent project.

Boasting only a handful of original songs (i.e. ‘Dream Girl,’ the Cabello-penned ‘Million to One,’ etc.), the movie’s companion album shined brightest with its collage of remakes of classic hits like Madonna‘s ‘Material Girl,’ Janet Jackson‘s ‘Rhythm Nation,’ Earth, Wind & Fire‘s ‘Shining Star,’ Salt-N-Pepa‘s ‘Whatta Man,’ and more.

Helping to lead the ‘Cinderella’ flick to become Amazon’s most-viewed offering the weekend of its release, look inside to see if that success spilled over to the soundtrack itself.

For fashionistas and fashion forward fellows, “fashion’s biggest night out” – better known as the Met Gala – is easily the most wonderful time of year.

A designer costume party that doubles as a fundraising event for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute in New York City, the outing is an annual assembly of Hollywood’s “who’s who” to show off some truly outrageous and over-the-top ensembles courtesy of top named and well respected designers.  As history has seen jaws dropped courtesy of gowns adorned by the likes of Rihanna, Beyonce, Madonna, Nicki Minaj, and many more, 2021’s exhibition – christened ‘In America: A Lexicon of Fashion’ – promised no different.

As Camila Cabello fans (affectionately called #Camilizers) get acquainted with the GRAMMY nominee’s twist on the classic fairy tale ‘Cinderella’ (streaming now on Amazon Prime), they’re invited to also get familiar with the unique tracklist of the movie’s soundtrack.

DaBaby stepped back into the spotlight last night at Hot 97s Summer Jam 2021. 

The rapper has been caught in quite the firestorm after making homophobic and insensitive remarks about those living with HIV at Rolling Loud Miami.

As covered extensively on That Grape Juice, the backlash was blazing and saw the star dropped from a plethora of festivals, axed from brand partnerships, and condemned by many of his contemporaries.

Looking to put the drama in rearview, DaBaby’s slot at New York’s Summer Jam remained and he drew on the moment to address the scandal.

DaBaby‘s easily been the hottest topic in music since his controversial showing at Rolling Loud last week (July 25) saw him launch a homophobic rant against ‘men who suck d*ck in parking lots’ and people living with HIV/AIDS.

As expected, a massive fallout ensued – one that’s not only seen him lose endorsement and concert festival appearances but also experience publicly damning from LGBTQ+ allies and advocates, fans, and even fellow celebrities.

Yesterday marked the tenth anniversary of Lady Gaga‘s landmark ‘Born This Way’ album.

For many artists, maintaining success can be difficult, especially coming off of an era as successful as ‘The Fame’ and ‘The Fame Monster.’
