Her journey to the past will air on PBS this fall and will make her the latest African-American public figure to use a TV special to uncover the truth about their hidden past.

Indeed, NBC’s ‘Who Do You Think You Are’ helped the actress Vanessa Williams and the singer Lionel Richie learn of their blood ties to the transatlantic slave trade, and helped Blair Underwood trace his lineage all the way to Cameroon where he still has living relatives.

An air date for Shonda’s story is yet to be announced.

It was the thud heard around the world.

Madonna‘s fall at the 2015 BRIT Awards this week continues to garner headlines and social media plays aplenty.

And while many found humor in the misstep, as evidenced by the myriad of memes and gifts that flooded the net, there was a very serious side to the matter which is now becoming apparent.

During a new interview on The Jonathan Ross Show (set to air in full next month), Material Madge revealed that doctors checked on her until 3am following Wednesday’s showing to ensure she wasn’t concussed.

She also explained that, having anticipated the fall after realising her cape wouldn’t de-tach in time, it was her experience falling off horses that cushioned the impact.

Grammy-nominated singer Kid Rock has seen his social media handles rocked by Beyonce‘s faithful #Beyhive after he lent some very stinging comments about her in a recent Rolling Stone interview.  Asserting the ‘Crazy In Love’ songstress has no iconic hits listed aboard her nearly two decade old discography, Rock fired shots heard around the world and, in the process, incited a bevy of #Beyhive stings for his infraction.

The fan group swarmed his Instagram page with several emojis and photos of bees, totaling in the thousands as of today.  This, in conjunction with a slew of death wishes, have seen the ‘Only God Knows Why’ singer’s social media handles locked in a frenzy

Touching down on R&B ground in 2005, the last decade has seen Trey Songz enjoy a commendable run in R&B.

Alas, while ten years was all it took to turn a number of his contemporaries into icons, the fact remains that Trey is still no closer to reaching levels attained by the likes of Usher, Bruno Mars and Chris Brown in less time.

This may be why the singer recently announced he was to take an older and wiser direction with his next studio album, set for release after his latest album ‘Trigga’ failed to land the support of the 57th annual Grammy committee.

Now, I’m putting on my creative hat to share what I’d do if tasked with handling the next era of Mr. Steal Your Girl’s career.

Will you agree with what I have in mind?
