The ‘Adorn’ singer has spent much of 2014 working on the follow-up to his sophomore album ‘Kaleidoscope Dreams’, which hit stores in 2012.

And while it’s presently unknown if the three new songs which comprise the mini-set tie into a meatier album, what is certain is that the cuts – christened ‘NWA’, ‘Hollywood Dreams’, and ‘Coffee’ – are ready to taste after the jump…

As her “little sisters” battle on Twitter, Nicki Minaj continues to promote her third studio album ‘The Pinkprint’ this week, hitting ‘Inside the NBA’ to discuss the project as it sits at #1 on iTunes USA.

Fortunately, her time on the show saw her do what she does best by delivering a scorching freestyle as part of a cypher graced by none other than basketball icon Shaquille O’Neal.

Bittersweet would be one way to describe yesterday’s episode of BET’s ‘106 & Park‘, marking the return of its dynamic duo Terrence and Rocsi who reunited to deliver its last-ever interview.

Indeed, after announcing the show is to come to an end, BET called on the pair to interview the rapper Nicki Minaj, who joined them to discuss her new album ‘The Pinkprint.’

With the flames from Azealia Banks‘ controversial Hot 97 interview still raging, one of the main topics of the candid chat – Iggy Azalea – has clapped back.

As reported, Banks slammed the Australian bred rapper and accused her of being a racist and a prime propagator of cultural appropriation.

Since blazing onto the scene with ‘212’, Azealia Banks has become as renown for her outspokenness as she has her music.

Indeed, many would argue that her various social media spats have not only overshadowed her success, but dented it too.

However, today arguably brought an interesting turning point.

Having veered away from the interview circuit in the wake of her numerous beefs, the rapper returned to the media trail today when she stopped by Hot 97.

Never one to hold her tongue, the 23-year-old sounded all the way off on Iggy Azalea, T.I., and Tiny. The New York native also extensively detailed her gripe with industry race politics.

After watching this we’re going to need Ms. Banks to talk more than she types. Because in audio-visual form, a lot of what she saying really resonates. Context, tone, elaboration are key differentials which help colour in many of her points and it really paints her in a new, more positive and enlightened light.

While there, Rap’s leading lady caught up with its hosts and their guest Laverne Cox, who had been engaged in a controversial debate on racism which has now seen Whoopi Goldberg face criticism for her interesting take on the topic.

Today saw the Pop puppet hit Paris to shoot the video for a new track from the as yet untitled set.

The star’s team assembled a large crowd of her Navy at Trocadero in the French capital for a scene in the visual.
