Unfortunately, contrary to the image thrown to the masses during Destiny’s Child‘s earlier years, Tina revealed that the marriage was anything but a happy one, taking a turn for the worse she learned she was pregnant with the baby that would grow up to become Beyonce.

It appears the song, which was first sung by Jennifer Holliday, is the gift that keeps giving. Because, just as it did upon her initial rendition in 2006, it potently reminds of the talent embedded in Hudson – regardless of sales.
