Calvin Harris is renown for his quietness. However, the hitmaker is refusing to stay silent regarding comments made by ex-girlfriend Rita Ora.

As widely reported over the weekend, the singer’s performance of ‘I Will Never Let You Down’ at the Teen Choice Awards was abrupt axed – with multiple sources stating that it was Harris (who produced the song) who exercised his right to block the performance.

23-year-old Ora confirmed the story as true during a recent interview with Ryan Seacrest. The result? Intense debate among the public about the right and wrongness  of her words and his actions.

It would appear all the hoopla has made for Harris to speak up and out to offer his take on the matter.

Jennifer Lopez has made a career out of scorching the competition, as such it’s little surprise that the dynamite diva does exactly that on the cover for newest single ‘Booty’.

The dance-floor jam, which was produced by Diplo and penned by Chris Brown, is the latest to be lifted from the 45-year-old’s tenth studio album ‘A.K.A’ – which has thus far spurned singles ‘I Luh Ya Papi’ and ‘First Love’.

While we enjoyed the latter, it’s safe to say they didn’t blaze the charts as perhaps hoped. Could it be third time lucky for the fine, fresh, fierce stunner? We hope so. ‘Booty’ is banger and packs a punch enough to help propel it to chart glory if pushed right. The viral clip below was a great start…

After much teasing it appears pop princess Ariana Grande is finally ready to blast off via her highly anticipated visual for ‘Break Free,’ her current single.  Coming on the chart-topping heels of ‘Problem (featuring Iggy Azalea),’ the new visual makes its way to the net just a day after the pint sized powerhouse unleashed ‘Best Mistake’ –  her newest collabo with rapper Big Sean.

If you thought Miss Grande was playing any games leading up to the release of her sophomore album ‘My Everything’ (in stores August 25th), then you thought wrong.

Positivity was the name of Remy Ma‘s game today, spread when the Rap stunner arrived at BET’s ‘106 & Park’ following her well publicised prison release.

Birthed to celebrate her return to Hip Hop and the career she enjoyed before her time inside, Ma’s appearance on the show saw her speak openly on the difficulty she had adjusting to prison life, the tough love she oft receives from her fans and jealousy and insecurity within the female Rap arena.

Indeed, it’s become trademark for us to shine light on artists – both known and on the rise. This week sees us spotlight the latter, as we kick off the first ever Freshly Squeezed Week.

Writing herself into the Pop  scene with the pen that is her debut single ‘Cold‘, 21-year old Carmen first caught our attention when we came across the Next-sampled jam earlier this year. Needless to say, we’ve been hooked ever since.

Hailing from Detroit, the LA-based beauty scored her first big break when she scouted by an NYC-based modelling agency aged 13, going on to switch the catwalk for the studio years later when she finished high school and moved to California to pursue her dreams of superstardom.

Perhaps the latest newbie to have sprung from Janet Jackson’s creative womb, Carmen’s journey to the top was made that much easier this month when her humble but growing fan base rocked radio with requests to hear ‘Cold’ spun on stations across the country. The result? Spins garnered on’Top 40′ and ‘Rhythmic’ formats that we hear haven’t gone unnoticed by tastemakers and label heads alike.

For, when quizzed squarely on rumors that ex-boyfriend Calvin Harris denied her the ability to perform the song (which he produced) at last week’s Teen Choice Awards, the singer not only confirmed the story as true – she went into great detail about how he was able to.

Better late than never.

The World Cup may have reached its climax a month ago, however Kelly Rowland isn’t letting that pause the push for her new song ‘The Game’.

As reported, the track features on Pepsi’s recently visual album ‘Pepsi Beats Of The Beautiful Game’ – which compiled songs from various artists and paired them with specially shot videos.

And while a Spike Lee directed clip was released for Rowland’s offering, the pregnant singer has gone the extra mile by calling on her fans to feature in a unique lyric visual for the track.
