As reported, Christina Aguilera gave birth to a bouncing baby girl on Saturday August 16th.

The child, who is the second for the singer but her first with fiance Matthew Rutler, was born via C-Section at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. 

Naturally, the question turns to what the youngster has been named. And while some speculated it’d be a while before Xtina spilled, she’s made the announcement moments ago. The name after the jump…

Is Rihanna the new spokesmodel for NiQuil? One look at her performance last night at the MetLife Stadium suggests “yes”.

The Bajan beauty hit New Jersey with Eminem on their joint ‘Monster Tour’ yesterday, yet it appears she’d have preferred to be in bed instead.

For, despite showing specs of promise during select performances, the 26-year-old appeared “out of it” and merely “going through the motions” – which in itself seemed difficult for her.

Hip-Pop titan Nicki Minaj is gearing up to unleash the music video for her latest hit ‘Anaconda’. Yet, so as to whet appetites in the interim, the Young Money maven has unwrapped the official lyric visual for the Polow Da Don produced cut.

Interestingly, it was pieced together by a talented fan and has been tweaked from its initial form (which featured many a pop culture reference…likely removed due to complications with usage rights).

September 20th brings with it the televised debut of Beyonce and Jay Z‘s blockbuster Summer trek, the ‘On The Run Tour’.

HBO have been teasing the concert special in earnest, a trajectory that continued today with the unwrapping of a new preview.

Both Rita Ora and Sam Smith have been making quite the name for themselves in the US. However, the pair proved home is where the heart is when they took to the stage at the UK’s ‘V Festival’ today.

23-year-old Ora showcased a concoction of tracks from her new album, as well as chart-toppers such as ‘R.I.P’ and ‘How We Do’, while Smith thrilled the audience with rousing rendition of hits from his blockbuster debut ‘In The Lonely Hour’.

Peep the stars cosying up and posing up backstage above. Interestingly, Rita captioned the snap:

As at writing, only Ora has been confirmed to perform at the VMA’s, which begs the question of whether she let the cat out of the bag re Smith’s (potential) showing. Watch this space!

Las Vegas’ The Palms was the place to be hours ago, thanks to a performance put on by rapper turned actor Will Smith, who took to its stage to perform his hit single ‘Summertime.’

In noticeably good spirits following this announcement, Smith’s performance swung by with a little help from DJ Jazzy Jeff and his eldest son Trey, both of whom celebrated with the venue’s partiers as the star performed the Grammy winning jam!
