‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’ is renowned for making positive headlines for its advancement of images of the LGBTQIA community in the media sphere.

However, season 12 of the Emmy award-winning show was thrust into controversy thanks to contestant Sherry Pie – who sat down on the Tamron Hall Show to break his silence on his shocking acts.

The drag performer, whose real name is Joey Gugliemelli, made headlines after being disqualified from the competition in March 2020 after admitting to sexually exploiting several men.

The drama surrounding his involvement with the show surfaced hours before the first episode aired.

It became apparent that Gugliemelli had posed as a fake casting director named Allison Mossie and bamboozled male acting hopefuls into sending money and revealing photos of themselves under the pretense of pitching them for roles.

More than a dozen men have stepped forward to identify themselves as victims of the abhorrent catfishing/sexual abusive scheme.

Gugliemelli has admitted all that he’s been accused of and sat down with Tamron Hall to discuss the situation in-depth.

Revisiting some of the movie’s most beloved tunes and costumes, B-Rocka seemingly stepped in a time machine as she looked every bit the young Disney princess she portrayed nearly 25 years ago in the Whitney Houston-led small screen flick.

Reassembling other high profile cast mates for the 2021 tribute (including EMMY, GRAMMY, OSCAR, and TONY-award winner Whoopi Goldberg, TONY award winner Bernadette Peters, Jason Alexander, and more), look inside to see the epic updated action.

Not even two months after movie lovers were first sent into a frenzy about a TV-adapted reboot of classic 90’s film, ‘Waiting to Exhale’ (which celebrated its 25th anniversary in December), speculation began mounting about who among today’s crop of actresses would float the revamp and who among its surviving cast (Lela Rochon, Loretta Devine, Angela Bassett) would reprise their original roles.

When Devine first broke the news of the venture, she expressed interest in reassuming her role as the feisty hairdresser “Gloria ‘Glo’ Matthews” (click here to see that).

More recently, the Academy and EMMY award nominated Bassett visited CBS morning talk show, ‘The Talk,’ to dish about her interest in reuniting with the film’s writer – Terry McMillan – to reprise her portrayal of the fiery “Bernadine Harris.”
