Post Malone is the man to beat these days as evidenced by this week’s Billboard Hot 100 and Billboard 200 charts respectively.
As we reported here, the ‘Congratulations’ star was deserving of just that after his sophomore album, ‘beerbongs and Bentleys,’ steamrolled over global one-day Spotify records (set just the week prior by J. Cole). Going on to break global first week Spotify records and earn the record for “most first week streams in history,” those massive streaming figures, alongside some handsome digital downloads, helped the project to the year’s best first week sales (to date) at 461,000 units shifted. His dominance didn’t stop there, however.
On the Hot 100 side of the pond, Post posted a whopping 9 songs to the top 20 – more than any other artist in history (a record also previously held by Cole). Look inside for more:
