Despite arguably being her strongest body of work since 2009’s ‘The Fame Monster‘, there’s no doubt Lady GaGa‘s latest LP ‘ARTPOP‘ is paying the price for sins committed by 2011’s ‘Born This Way.’
Indeed, for an album that sought to celebrate humanity, ‘Born’ stood as anything but human, serving songs smothered in well-meaning but poorly executed themes and production that quite literally stripped the ‘life’ out of the star’s voice. This, forcing the general public into the arms of her ‘simpler’ contemporaries, whose shameless brand of generic proved to be far more appealing than what she had to offer at the time.
Fast forward to day and ‘ARTPOP‘ is under-performing, perhaps struggling to win back the crowd its predecessor’s stifling sound had scared away…but only on album’s front.
For today, after reports that its supporting tour was suffering a similar fate, entertainment company ‘Live Nation’ has come forward to set the record straight.
