Next week finally brings with it the release of Ashanti‘s much delayed ‘Braveheart’ LP.

And having served up a slew of singles and visuals in support of the set, the R&B belle continues to build buzz with this freshly unveiled promotional shot.

Granted that the punch-lines write themselves, we can’t say we’d have commissioned such a shoot. Still, we are eager to see how the project fares when it hits stores on March 4th. Will you be marching to the stores to buy next Tuesday?

Fans of VH1’s hit show ‘Single Ladies’ will be devastated to learn that the scripted series has been cancelled.  Produced by Queen Latifah, the show – after two hit seasons on VH1 – saw its third season greeted with lukewarm response from viewers.

The music channel offered the following statement:

“We’ve been proud to deliver three seasons of the drama, romance and style that engaged viewers in each episode of “Single Ladies.” Although we’ve decided not to move forward with another season, we hope to work again with the talented cast, creatives and producers as well as our partners at Flavor Unit Entertainment in the near future. We also thank the show’s fans for their support since the premiere in 2011.”

Did ‘Naughty’ legend Chaka Khan bill ‘Blow’ beauty Beyonce a ‘b*tch’?

Unfortunately for that latter, the answer to that question remains in the air as fans of both continue to study a recent interview given by Khan to ‘Hollywood Today.’

For, upon arriving to support all ‘Essence Black Women in Hollywood’ had to offer, Chaka reportedly murmured the words “that b*tch” when the outlet’s interviewing journalist referenced Beyonce‘s jam ‘Flawless’ during a compliment he paid for.

Alas, if her words weren’t enough to shine a light on any ill feelings felt towards the star, her body language went a long way to do that for her…as can be seen in the footage waiting for you below…

The net has been roaring for the last day or so with mixed review of Snoop Lion’s Instagram-unveiling of freshly French manicured nails.

Indeed, the legendary rapper (formerly known as Snoop Dogg) was dealt a fiery hand of comments after sharing pics of his latest fashion accessory to fans.  But, we’ll argue that the response – which was surprisingly mixed – begs a bigger debate:  what is the big deal?

‘Magic’ maestro Robin Thicke’s act may be winning on the music front, but, as reports have revealed all week, the extent of his Midas touch stops there.  For, as fans know, the week brought with it news of his separation from wife/actress Paula Patton.

Just a day following the announcement, the Grammy-nominated crooner launched a crusade to win back the lady’s love.  The latest public plea for reconciliation came in the form of an on stage breakdown recently.

The star may have put on a brave face to resume his Stateside tour, but as the video below evidenced, that face only held up for so long:
