Soul filled singer Luke James has spent the last year etching his name (and voice) into the consciousness of the masses. The most notable stop on his campaign thus far has been his coveted slot on Beyonce world tour – ‘The Mrs. Carter Show’.

The New Orleans native, who nabbed a Grammy nomination without an album in stores, was handpicked by King B to open the European leg of the sell-out trek.

In a fresh interview with Arise, the vocal powerhouse candidly dishes on what it was like on the road with the ‘Grown Woman’ singer, as well as his own journey as one of R&B’s most promising prospects.

The family of the late Rapper Lisa ‘Left Eye’ Lopes have expressed their hurt at actions carried out by her former TLC bandmates this week.

Indeed, in their latest bid to capitalize on the group’s run at the top in the 90s, its remaining members T-Boz and Chilli have faced criticism from Lopes’ family, after her verse was removed from a remake of their 1995 single ‘Waterfalls’…to be replaced by that of another entertainer’s.

Amber Rose stopped by ‘The New Ricki Lake Show‘ recently, arriving on the hit talk show to dish on the recent delivery of her first son.

Joined by the child’s father, Rapper Wiz Khalifa, the Smirnoff spokeswoman took the series weeks after she confirmed the release of brand new music, following 2012’s ‘Fame‘ and its younger sister, ‘Loaded‘.

The rapper and Roc Nation mogul is re-branding the meaning of the iconic July 4th date with the release of his new album ‘Magna Carta Holy Grail’.

A subject of major debate, the surprise project has attracted both praise and critique for its unique roll-out, which sees Samsung foot the bill for 1 million copies of the LP – giving it away “free” as part of a new app for users of its phones.

It’s easy to see, then, why amidst the hoopla the fact one of Hip-Hop’s biggest titans is actually releasing new material (and in a matter of weeks too) is being somewhat overlooked.

‘Right By My Side’ pals Nicki Minaj and Chris Brown rocked last night’s Powerhouse 2013 gig last night, storming the stage with a performance of DJ Khaled‘s ‘Take It To The Head‘, and Chris’ upbeat love song….’Fine China’.

Serving nothing but fun while on stage together, their performance on the night came eight days before they arrive at the 2013 BET Awards alongside Miguel, Mariah Carey, Justin Timberlake, Beyonce & Ciara!
