As an act who rose to fame by way of the tool, Lady GaGa is all too familiar with the part the internet plays in crafting and sharing ideas, and introducing the world to the artists behind them.
However, in a new interview given to Berlin’s ‘ProSieben‘, the vocalist has weighed in on the negative impact the advent of photo sharing outlets like Instagram has had on the world art…or at least Joe Public’s perception of what it truly means to be an artist.
Indeed, while the Grammy winner doesn’t knock its impact, she does explain why the attention many of its staples receive from the images they share can never truly compare to the passion and discipline it takes to create material that does more than score ‘Likes’, ‘Followers’ and ‘Fans’.
