Sam Smith is breathing new life into a previously shelved ballad: ‘To Be Free.’

Recorded during the British superstar’s ‘Gloria‘ era, Smith – not believing it was right for that Pop-driven record – finally lifted the lid on the touching, choir-driven cut on Friday (July 25).

“I’ve never had a recording experience like I did making this song. It’s one vocal and guitar take from start to finish – one live performance of me and my friend Simon Aldred in a pure state of music and expression,” Sam shared before saying, “I’ve been waiting for the right time to release this song and I couldn’t be happier that it’s finally yours.”

Buzz for Drake‘s new album, ‘Iceman,’ is everything but cold – a status reaffirmed by the warm reception of his latest single ‘Which One.’

The follow-up to the Billboard Hot 100 top 10 smash ‘What Did I Miss?,’ ‘One’ sees Drizzy tap British Rap sensation Central Cee to assist.

“You want Cench or your ex, which one? / You want friends or success, which one? / Tell the sound man, “Spin this one” / Play this for the gyal dem party, dun,” Drake spits over Island-inspired instrumentation.

Following a preview of the cut during his performance at London’s Wireless Festival earlier this month, Drizzy fans can now hear ‘One’ in full ahead of the arrival of ‘Iceman.’

For Mariah Carey, all roads lead to the September 26 unveiling of her new album ‘Here for It All‘ – her first traditional LP release since 2018’s ‘Caution.’

And while excitement for the effort is already at a feverish pitch, Carey is looking to take it into overdrive by lifting the lid on yet another single from the highly anticipated set: ‘Sugar Sweet.’

“Hate it when you have to leave / But I don’t say a thing / ‘Cause I will absolutely get the ring / No hurry, no worries / Oh, baby, baby, baby, baby, I’m Gonna use my expertise /  I’ma keep it nice, l’ma keep it neat / I’ma keep it sugar, I’ma keep it sweet,” she sings over HARV production.

Tapping in GRAMMY-nominated beauties Kehlani and Shenseea to assist, the new tune marks the follow-up to Mariah’s milestone hit ‘Type Dangerous.’
