Serial lip-syncer Cheryl Cole attempted to honour the Queen of England tonight by ditching her favourite past-time and singing live.

Yet, as her performance of ‘Need You Now’ with Gary Barlow proved, switching on her mic only highlights her ample inadequacies.

Earlier this morning, Funkmaster Flex shocked fans when he openly vowed to ‘tear Nicki Minaj’ down for not performing at Summerjam 2012, the event organized by his radio station Hot 97.

Now, in her defense, fellow Rap queen has released a statement weighing in on the situation, supporting her decision to walk away from what many saw as a dangerous situation.

Rihanna.

Say what you will about her, but not only is her success “compelling”, she also stands as one of the most renown Pop polarizers in recent history.

Indeed, for many her “F effort” approach underlines all that is wrong with today’s music industry; while for others she represents a new generation.

Whatever your take on her, the fact is you have one. Alas, we’re keen to hear what you think about the model’s current predicament. Aged just 24, she has six albums under her wig (as well as a horde of awards), she also serves as one of the biggest Digital music sellers of all time, and yet remains respected by so few, with increasingly low album sales to boot.

In this ‘The Business Roundtable Special”, our resident host Patrick is joined by comedienne Bresha Webb and upcoming actor TQuan Wilson to “Rate Rihanna”. Hit ‘PLAY’ and be sure to let us know what you think about “That Rihanna Reign” below…

Love her or hate her, but we’d challenge anyone not to respect Nene Leakes’ ascent to the ‘top’.

Using Bravo’s ‘Real Housewives’ franchise as a launching pad for her own media oriented brand, Leakes-like Bethenny Frankel before her- has become one of television’s more bankable stars, commanding respect both on and off the small screen.

Now,she has weighed in on so called TV exec Shaunie O’neal and her ‘Basketball Wives‘.

On the show she told Vibe Magazine:

The truth is the truth. It has just gone too far. Too many fights, my God!

We (The Real Housewives) don’t do that. We definitely have had our verbal fights, but never physical fights. I can’t believe the fighting and the bullying. It looks bad. It really looks bad.

They can’t want to do too much in their careers. A good ole argument, everybody likes that every now and then to tune into, but you couldn’t be trying to have too much in your career because that stuff, it don’t work. You can’t represent a product and be that way. That just doesn’t work.

Not sure what Nene means?

When Rihanna announced she was to star in action flick ‘Battleship‘,expectations-to say the very least-were high.

Armed with the benefit of an all star cast, ‘Hancock‘ director Peter Berg and a budget of $209 million, the release was set to be the action flick of the summer.

However, much like all six of the singer’s LPs, the movie failed at reaching the US #1 and earned the record for being the lowest grossing movie with a budget of $200 million or more.

Now,in response to its well publicized tank, Comcast CEO Brian Roberts has labelled it a ‘unfortunate large miss‘.

On behalf of Universal who released the movie,he confessed:

We’ll have a negative quarter at NBC Universal, driven partly by the two flops, which will leave first-half financials flat to slightly down but right around where the company had expected — except for the effect of the Battleship flop.

His remarks came during a speech at the Sanford C. Bernstein 28th annual Strategic Decisions Conference in New York last week, hours after fantasy film ‘Snow White & The Huntsman” was confirmed to have generated more capital in three days than ‘Battleship’ has in three weeks, with a cool $56 million.

Here’s hoping Fenty has better luck on her next endeavor.

It was set to be her biggest US appearance this summer.

However, following remarks made by Hip Hop annoyance Peter Rosenberg, Nicki Minaj has refused to perform at SummerJam 2012, hours before she was due to hit the stage.

Earlier this evening, numerous reports claimed Rap Queen Nicki Minaj was to welcome Foxy Brown and ‘212‘ sweetheart Azealia Banks to the stage during her set at Summer Jam 2012, the event in which she is headlining.

This, for any aware of the star’s feud with Rap veteran Lil Kim, was seen a subtle dig at the MC as Foxy and Banks are-like Minaj herself- engaged in their own respective spats with her.

So in response to the reports, Kim took to Twitter to air out her feelings.
