For three years, former Sugababe Keisha Buchanan has maintained a dignified silence on the drama which saw her ousted from the group she founded in 2009.

And while karma has perhaps served as the best revenge (see: current state of the group, reformation of originals), Buchanan has finally opened up about her time in one of the UK’s biggest ever girlbands.

The segment featured on documentary ‘I’m In A Girl Group!’, which also juxtaposed soundbites from the brand’s 4th line-up.

Pooch Hall stopped by BET‘s 106 & Park this week to talk about his latest projects, including his new role on upcoming Showtime series ‘Ray Donovan’.

Describing the move as “progression”, The Game star also addressed mounting suggestion that the new show will see him vacate his role as Derwin Davis on the hit BET sitcom.

Fans of late R&B chanteuse Aaliyah were sent into a frenzy today when Jeffrey “J. Dub” Walker, of the famed production group The Hitmen, took to Twitter to announce (click to enlarge):


Fans may recall that Walker is the craftsman behind many favorites (‘I Refuse’, ‘I Can Be’, more) of Aaliyah’s 2001 self-titled, third venture.  And, while the singer’s longtime collaborator Timbaland long revealed that the singer recorded a wealth of material for that album, only 15 made the final cut (while others featured on the singer’s posthumous greatest hits package).

Alas, while no dates have been revealed to accompany Walker’s announcement, any hints at new music from the songbird are enough to get us at TGJ headquarters excited as ‘Steady Ground’ has long been a favorite of ours.

‘Fallin’ star Alicia Keys shone brighter than ever with her Parisian fashion high steps this week. The 14 time Grammy winner dropped by the Yves Saint-Laurent show on Monday rocking black ensemble with a fur coat and did a repeat today when adorned a diamond headpiece while guesting a Chanel event.  Completing the getup with a black pantsuit with plunging neckline,  the songstress later graced a Valentino event with her presence.

‘The Boy Is Mine’ co-stars Brandy and Monica are not playing when it comes to the promotion of ‘It All Belongs To Me’ – their latest joint effort working its way up the charts.  Winning over critics and fans alike with their live introduction of the Rico Love produced tune, now viewers can ready themselves for the accompanying visual via VH1.

Set for debut Monday (tomorrow) night at 11 p.m. on the music channel, the diva duo will spice up the already mounting anticipation for the video through special promotional clips throughout the day, all day.

These spots will air on through the night until the world premiere of the video (directed by Chris Robinson).  Additionally, fans hungry for more will be able to view exclusive content (interviews and behind-the scenes footage) via VH1.com.

Appears former Pussycat Doll frontwoman Nicole Scherzinger is looking to bring the heat in the latest VIBE magazine issue.  Fronted by another hot hitmaker Nicki Minaj, the expelled X Factor judge can be spotted flaunting all flavors of fierce in this latest photoshoot for the Urban publication while its accompanying story features Scherzinger chatting about Simon Cowell, her X Factor exit, and more.

Turning 40 often spells the end for many a talented actress (see: age bias). However, Gabrielle Union is proving that, as she nears the big 4-0, she will not be held down. For, after scoring a lead role in Tyler Perry’s latest hit ‘Good Deeds’, Union has reportedly signed on as the top billing in a new BET sitcom.

According to Deadline, the actress has joined forces with husband and wife production duo Mara Brock Akil and Salim Akil (who produce The Game) to star  as the top bill in Single Black Female.

Two of the craftsmen behind some of Barbadian beauty Rihanna‘s biggest hits have joined forces to try their luck at doing the same sans-Riri.  ‘We Found Love’ producer Calvin Harris has found an enlistee in singer/songwriter Ne-Yo for ‘Let’s Go’ – the first single off the Brit’s yet titled third album (due later this year).    Like Harris, Ne-Yo’s next project is also due later this year.

And, while Ne-Yo hasn’t found much success on the solo tip when his latest ‘Libra Scale’ failed to meet expectations, the singer’s recent contributions as ‘assistant’ have led many-a-rapper to the top of the charts.
