Last night saw Adele win big at the 54th Annual Grammy Awards, collecting the awards for Song Of The Year and Album Of The Year, to name just two.

However, before she took the ceremony, her special with ‘60 Minutes‘ aired on CBS, showcasing her oft endearing talent and personality but digging deep into a number of recent setbacks suffered by the star.

Whitney Houston‘s untimely passing last night left many numb, including close friend Ray J.

The R&B singer couldn’t hide his emotions as he and sister Brandy tried to celebrate her 33rd birthday at Ne-Yo’s Pre-Grammy  Midnight Brunch.

Recent years have seen the ‘One Wish’ singer spotted frequently with Houston, however neither ever commented on the nature of the relationship.

To the world she was an icon, but to them she was a friend.

Whitney Houston‘s sudden death last night has left many stunned, most especially R&B stars Brandy and Monica.

The pair, who were being coached by the late singer for their planned performance at Clive Davis’ Pre-Grammy Gala, instead sat in clear disbelief at the solemn event.

Over the years, Houston took on a mentor role for both ladies. Indeed, she maintained a close bond with Brandy, while helping Monica through the suicide of her boyfriend and in other trying times. The singers will no doubt be leaning on each other during this trying time.
